I just activated Pro and the Events In and View As boxes do not fully expand, so I can use them. http://www.stroudsburgwesleyan.org/events/2013-08/

Hi there Steve. Thanks for the note here. I see according to your post you’re using the 3.0 release. Have you upgraded to the latest builds (3.0.3 of The Events Calendar / 3.0.5 of PRO), and tested whether this issue persists?

It’s also worth noting that you’ll want to test the different stylesheet + template options under Events -> Settings -> Display. As you make changes they will impact the frontend appearance, and the styling particularly will impact how well that events bar displays.

Let me know if you’re still stuck from there and we’ll do our best to get you sorted.

    Rob,
I am current at versions 3.0.3 and 3.0.4. I haven’t been advised to upgrade yet.

I have played with the display. The view as and event in only show in the skeleton styles, but doesn’t look very good.

I did updated to 3.0.5 for Pro. Using the Tribe Event and Full Styles the Events In and View As buttons align right and are not functional.

Thanks for the follow-up and for confirming as much, Steve. This is getting a bit outside my area of expertise (I’m not sure what could be causing the problem you’re noting barring something underlying in the theme) but I’ve asked another member of the team to take a look here tomorrow. We’re sorry for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience so far.

    Rob,
Just doing a follow-up. Haven’t heard from anyone on this topic.

    Hi there Steve,
I’ll take over this one. Your theme is using a really old version of jQuery, 1.5.1, which isn’t supported. Can you contact your theme author and have him update that jQuery version. WordPress core currently uses 1.10, and will be using 2.0 soon

    Chris,

I would love to update my theme, but the owner has been AWOL for a year. I came across a plugin called jQuery Updater. Not sure if I should attempt though. Some of the people who tried it would up with more problems. Do you have any thoughts on how to safely update jQuery manually?

Hey Steve. Just a heads up that Chris is aware of your follow-up, and should be getting over a reply here shortly today. Thanks!

The jQuery Updater plugin only works if the theme doesn’t override the core version of jQuery. Unfortunately, your theme does. Basically, the way to fix it is to find where the author calls the old version of jQuery. Once you find where he calls it, we can give you advice on what to do. The place i’d check first is a file called header.php in your theme. Unfortunately the actual call to jQuery could be anywhere in the theme

    Chris,

I did a search for jQuery in the theme and all I found where a bunch of js files.
    jquery.colorpicker.js, jquery.mw-reload-color-option.js, jquery.plugins.js, jquery.table.dnd.js, jquery.theme-options.js, jquery.widgets.js, slides.min.jquery.js

    Hi there,
I forgot we don’t have native attachments (my bad)
You’ll need to upload it to Droplr and then send us the link 🙂

Steve, did you see Chris’ last note? Any chance you were able to get that screenshot nailed down?
