MemberSuzanne, I’m going to go ahead and close this. But definitely feel free to email us (pro /a/ tri.be) if you find we’ve done so in error. Thanks!
Rob
MemberHey again Tara. Just wanted to follow-up with you here, now that I’ve had a chance to have Jessica from our team take another look at this matter.
Here are the files she found that were changed in your core plugin:
resources/events.css
views/list.php
views/single.phpI should point out that the templates have changed significantly between version 2 & 3, so if you move those files to to your theme and then upgrade the plugin, your customized template might not work perfectly with 3.0. As far as both I and the developer can tell, though, you didn’t do anything crazy custom – and instead only changed a few lines of code – so if things don’t work exactly, it should be pretty easy for you to redo the customizations in the 3.0 templates.
Hope that helps! Thanks again for your support, and let us know if you need anything else in the future.
August 22, 2013 at 1:15 pm in reply to: 3 Qs: Link Directly to FB Event + Styling and Photos in Sidebar Widget #62502Rob
Memberhey again Simmons! Hope you’re well. I just followed-up with our developers, based on Leah’s last comment here, and wanted to come back with some more information.
From the looks of things, it appears the gist Tim provided in that separate thread adds a link to the Facebook event to the gray event details box on the single event. From the looks of things it appears your goal is trying to make all the events imported from Facebook link directly to the Facebook page instead of the single event page on your site. Let me know if I’m misunderstood there.
Otherwise: the most detail we can offer up here (as this does veer more into the customization realm) is that you can hook into the tribe_get_event_link filter to change the URL to the Facebook event. If you’re willing to crack the hood it should be relatively easy to do, and our http://docs.tri.be site should be able to help you out there as well.
Hope this helps! Let me know if not. Thanks again for your patience & support.
Rob
MemberI’ll answer for Leah here to say, “we’re happy to help!” Please let us know if you have further questions down the road.

MemberHey there creativebridge. Thanks for the follow-up there. I took a look at the plugin and unfortunately it looks like this is an issue you’ll need to bring up with their devs: it does appear as though there is an issue with how the popup handles custom post types, versus the standard/built-in WP pages/posts.
Sorry I couldn’t offer more help here. If their devs are able to point you in the right direction on that front, it should get you where you need to be – and if they have questions from us to help on that end please let me know so I can get them what they need.
August 21, 2013 at 5:04 pm in reply to: Post tag URLs not consistent between different post types #62366Rob
MemberHey there Kevin. Thanks for this one; as you can tell by the load here, we’re a bit overwhelmed support-wise and as a result are taking longer than expected to get to certain threads. We’re really sorry that yours slipped through the cracks, though.
This one is sadly a known issue. Unless I’m mistaken, your problem overlaps pretty congruently with the high-level issues outlined in https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/urls-in-tag-cloud/ and https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/urls-in-tag-cloud-are-incorrect/ (minus the fact that you aren’t using tag clouds).
The good news is that we’re working to patch this for an impending release, and – while I’m hesitant to commit to anything – the chances are very good that it’ll be in the maintenance release we push the first or second week of September.
Thanks for your patience in the interim and please let me know if you have other questions here.
Rob
MemberHey again! I looked into the issue of the box being “open” after Neill brought it to my attention, and it does indeed look like that’s an issue on our end…it shows open at perhaps wider ranges than it should. We’re looking into this one now.
Believe I addressed the other issue of the link in a separate thread, but let me know if not! Thanks again for your patience and support 🙂
Rob
MemberHey accessrose. This should be totally doable. You could do it via a template override as detailed here (https://theeventscalendar.com/what-are-template-overrides-and-how-do-i-do-them/), but I wonder if Andy’s plugin (http://wordpress.org/plugins/the-events-calendar-user-css/) might help take care of the heavy lifting for you?
August 21, 2013 at 4:53 pm in reply to: mini calendar widget – returning to current month doesn't show today's events #62363Rob
MemberHey there bcnmes. Thanks for the note here, and sorry to hear you’re having problems. (Really nice looking site you’ve got there though).
This is a good find; I was just able to recreate it both at your site and locally on our development site. Oddly this was a problem that arose during the pre-release beta and we addressed it at that time…but it appears something has been reverted.
We do have a maintenance release shipping over the next couple weeks, which addresses a number of other bugs for the calendar widget and *may* fix this. I’d love to hear from you in this thread if it does indeed fix the problem. Otherwise I’ve got this logged in our system on the radar for hopefully the subsequent build after that. Since we release on a monthly release cylce that means we’re looking at about the first week of October for that build.
Hope this helps and thanks again for the feedback. Sorry I couldn’t offer you something more substantive in the interim. If you have other questions or thoughts here, please do let me know.
August 21, 2013 at 4:42 pm in reply to: Add a comment under event title in widget calendar and single event #62361Rob
MemberTotally! We actually have a tutorial on the very process, which should help point you in the right direction. check it out here: https://theeventscalendar.com/what-are-template-overrides-and-how-do-i-do-them/. That help point you in the right direction? Let me know if not!
Rob
MemberGot it! Thanks for the follow-up, and your goal at this point makes perfect sense. This is admittedly a bit outside my area of expertise – but I’ve got a more dev-minded member of the team on deck to take a look and reply here shortly. Thanks for your patience man 🙂
August 21, 2013 at 4:34 pm in reply to: custom recurrence description not filled in or displayed #62358Rob
MemberAh, that makes sense trevellyan – thanks for clarifying. I can see where you’re coming from there; yes, that post was drafted for 2.0 and we admittedly changed the “schedule” to be tooltip based for 3.0.
Interestingly you’re the first person to raise this point. I’ve logged it as a proposed feature for a subsequent release. I can’t guarantee it’ll be worked back into the plugin as a default setting, but it should definitely be something that is doable with a snippet or a custom template. Let me see if – in the interim before a decision on the feature itself is made – we can get you something along those lines.
Rob
MemberHey there! Thanks for following up. No worries at all about your English; I can understand you well enough here 🙂
As for the page you linked to: http://www.neurogymtonik.org/milieu-scolaire-reg-ehdaa/. Best I can tell, that’s not actually an Event page. So are you just looking at what hook you’d use to call events from a given category, so you can add it to that template? If so, does this ( http://docs.tri.be/Events-Calendar/function-tribe_get_event_categories.html) point you in the right direction?
August 21, 2013 at 4:14 pm in reply to: modifying one recurring event only creates hundreds of copies #62349Rob
MemberI can see how you would be worried about the recurrence front, yes. Do you want to send me over a set of creds (privately) for the dev site, and I can try to recreate this situation? Please understand that we can’t be responsible for anything that occurs during this time (so you’ll want to back up beforehand), but problems beyond the obvious duplication issue shouldn’t occur here…as that’s really all I’m going to be doing in there.
Let me know if that works and I’ll jump into testing it from there. Thanks again for your patience on this so far.
August 21, 2013 at 4:11 pm in reply to: start/end date calendar entry issue-only shows current – no arrows #62348Rob
MemberHey scosan09. Thanks for posting this. This is really weird, if nothing has changed on your installation except for the problem here. Is there any chance you can provide a screenshot? Here’s what I see on my end when I’m running on a vanilla install: http://d.pr/i/g6iy.
Happy to help you get this sorted best I can, but at this point I’ll need more info. Thanks for your patience so far.
