MemberHey Caroline. Thanks for the note; sorry to hear you’re having problems. This is a weird issue since I’m actually unable to recreate it on my default 2011 install with the 2.0.2 code active. I’m wondering if the multi-site install is problematic here….or, your theme. Any chance you could try reverting back to the default 2011 theme to test whether the issue persists? Can you also confirm that you have pretty permalinks turned on (ie /%postname%/)?
Regarding the “last month” showing in the dropdown, where this month should appear…that’s a bug and one we’ve got logged for either our 2.0.3 or 2.1 release. Which one it goes into will depend on how quickly we can identify the fix.

MemberThanks Cary. Any chance you’d be willing to set me up with a set of admin credentials to the site, so I could take a look? If you are up to that, please send them over to rob at tri.be, along with a link to this thread for context, and I can try to figure out what’s up by taking a look at the backend.
We’ll keep trying to resolve this for you. Nobody else has had this particular issue, though, so finding a resolution isn’t as easy as merely digging up an old support thread on the same topic 🙂

MemberHey Andrew. Sorry about the code pasting inconvenience; we’re going to change that sometime during Q1 as we ramp up features here in the forum. In the interim pastebin or pastie is definitely the best solution.
Regarding your issue: this is a bit outside my area of expertise, but I believe our developer Jonah might be able to guide you. I’ve sent this his way so he can give it a once-over when he hits the forums next tomorrow morning.

MemberHey Paul, thanks for confirming. I believe I understand the issue now. If you’re willing to give our current 2.0.3 beta code a go – which I believe but cannot guarantee will fix your issue – I have sent it to you via email. Give that a shot and let me know what happens. (Though, please post your response here at the forum versus via email so other users can benefit from the discussion). Thanks!
Rob
MemberYeah, we admittedly broke a few key items in 2.0.2. 2.0.3 should get us back to a stable stage and we appreciate you bearing with us as we nail this down. Definitely feel free to comment back in this thread if upon upgrading you’re still having any issues.
Rob
MemberHey Loren. Thanks for confirming. Let me know what you come up with; meanwhile, I will get our developer Jonah to take a look tomorrow and chime in with any thoughts he may have on how to do this more simply. Stay tuned.
Rob
MemberHey Xpert. Thanks for confirming. This is a bit outside my area of expertise, but I can get our developer Jonah to take a look and share his thoughts. He’ll respond here shortly.
Rob
MemberExcellent to hear. Thanks Jonah.
Rob
MemberHey Paul. Thanks for the note, and sorry to hear you’ve been having issues. Is it possible that this solves the issue you’ve been having (https://theeventscalendar.com/patch-for-the-events-calendar-2-0-2-date-bug/), or have I misunderstood your request here? Let me know and I can keep looking into it as needed. Happy New Year!
Rob
MemberI would suggest doing the update first; and if that doesn’t do anything, if you can, test whether the issue persists with WP No Category Base deactivated. It’s quite possible that is causing an issue here that we could try and identify for resolution upon confirmation.
Rob
MemberHey Loc. Thanks for the heads up; a few other users have reported this as well. Here’s the discussion we had about it over at the other thread: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/events-calendar-2-0-1headway2-0-13-displays-calendar-pagetitle-in-all-nav-items/. Basically, we’re working on a fix for this that will be included in the 2.1 release; though if you needed something in the more immediate future, you could get it functional changing the template under Settings -> The Events Calendar. Sorry I couldn’t offer up more here.
Rob
MemberHey Loren, thanks for the note. Have you checked out our tutorial on how to fully customize widgets yet (https://theeventscalendar.com/how-to-completely-customize-widgets/)? Let me know if that wasn’t helpful and I can get our developer Jonah to chime in directly.
Rob
MemberHey Joe. Yeah, there’s a bug in the 2.0.2 code that keeps non-US defaults (provinces & countries) from displaying correctly. This has since been patched and the fix will be included in 2.0.3, which we’re working to finalize this week.
Rob
MemberExcellent – thanks for this info, Greg. This makes sense and gives me something to go back to the team with.
