MemberThere is indeed, Alexcia. In fact we put together a brief tutorial on it a few weeks back. Check that out: https://theeventscalendar.com/coloring-your-category-events/.
Let me know if you were looking to do something different. Cheers!
Rob
MemberHi all. If you’re using UTC time zone settings on your site, this is unfortunately a known bug in the 2.0.3 release that we’re working to change in 2.1. You’re welcome to shoot me an email (rob at tri.be) with a link to this thread if you’re interested in beta testing the new code (somewhere between 2.0.3 and 2.1) before it officially launches…since this fix will be in 2.1, the code you test may include a fix. Worth a shot anyway…let me know, and apologies for the inconvenience in the interim.
Rob
MemberThanks for confirming, Josh. Makes sense to me. We’ll see if we can point you a bit further down the right path today when Jonah hits the forums.

MemberThanks for sharing, Joe – this is awesome. We did have a few beta testers during the lead up to 2.0 on Genesis, but the bigger problem here is that our templating structure isn’t quite as flexible as it could be. That’s being changed for 2.1 so I suspect all issues such as this will become a moot point at that time.
Replay: does Joe’s suggestion above not work for you?
Rob
MemberExcellent to hear. Thanks for confirming, Stefan!

MemberHey Jacques: if you want to shoot me an email (rob at tri.be) with a link to this thread, I can give you some code that may help ease the integration. Let me know.
Rob
MemberHey Jacques. Looks like you already found our other discussion along these lines (https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/event-list-styling-calendar-navigation-odd-when-no-events/), right? If so, and assuming this isn’t a separate issue, let’s keep the discussion going over there.
Short answer is that our templating changes in 2.1 should fix this.
February 6, 2012 at 7:39 am in reply to: Change Featured Event Widget Date to Feb, instead of February… #14710Rob
MemberThanks for the words, Rich – we certainly appreciate it. On the widget side: I can definitely get our dev Jonah to chime in as needed, but have you checked out this tutorial we put together on how to fully customize widgets? It may be enough to point you in the right direction. Check it out: https://theeventscalendar.com/how-to-completely-customize-widgets/.
Let me know if that’s not detailed enough and we can provide further guidance.
Rob
MemberAwesome to hear you got this working, Diego – if you still have problems with that other issue do let us know. The code you’ve shared here could definitely be of use to others who come with this question down the road.
As always, let us know what else we can do.
Rob
MemberThis may be possible, Tara – thanks for the question. It’s not doable out of the box but let me see if our dev Jonah has any suggestions as to how this could be doable. I’ll get him to respond here if so.

MemberHi again Diego. Just a heads up that I ran this by our dev team to see if they were able to identify a quick fix here; unfortunately nothing really jumped out and it’d require some serious digging to bring up, so in the interest of time it’s probably best to wait for the official solution in 2.1. Sorry I couldn’t offer up a short-term workaround in the interim.
Rob
MemberGreat stuff, Mike – thanks for listing out exactly what you’ve done, it was cross-checking against that list that really caused it to dawn on me how much customization you’ve done here. This is great and a super example of how you can generally get the plugin to meet whatever design needs you have with the right dev chops. Great work and thanks for sharing. Looking forward to hearing what other users have to say on the feedback front 🙂
Rob
MemberThanks for the heads up on that, schmidtysays. We’ve got a running ticket on our projects system in which we’re bringing up the advanced recurrence patterns users are requesting that we can include in 2.1. I’ve added this to that discussion and since what you’re noting here is very much along the lines of what others have mentioned, this should certainly be making it in during the 2.1 lifecycle. Appreciate the heads up here.

MemberHi there Rowan. Thanks for the words, man – most appreciated from me and everyone on the team. We’d be happy to do what we can to try and help you out here.
First thing I’d suggest right off the bat, and which would keep you from having to worry about modifying the CSS files at all: have you checked the different templating options available under Settings -> The Events Calendar? There’s a good chance that switching to a different option in the dropdown there could relieve this for you.
Want to give it a go, and let us know if that doesn’t do the trick? If not I can get a dev to chime in directly.

MemberHey Todd: I can take a look for you. Got a link to the site-in-question?
Schmidtysays: That may be possible, but it’s outside my area of expertise. Let me see if Jonah has a suggestion as to if/how that would be accomplished.
