MemberHi Albert. It should be doable if your theme accounts for page-specific sidebars; otherwise, have you checked out what can be done with template tags (https://theeventscalendar.com/support/documentation )? Sounds like, while not widgets per se, this could allow you the flexibility to display event data as you wanted.

MemberHey Zach – thanks for the note. Just to confirm, you’ve identified this as a conflict with the other plugin right? Do you need anything from us or are you all set here? Wanted to verify before closing the thread 🙂

MemberThanks Rich. Bummer to hear that link didn’t do the trick; let me see if our dev Jonah (who wrote that walkthrough originally) can chime in here with some thoughts when he hits the forum tomorrow morning.

MemberThe code itself will be released sometime between now and the end of March; so this code will be added by then at the latest. Hope that helps and do let me know if you’ve got any other questions along these lines.
Rob
MemberThanks Marco. I’m going to get a dev to chime in here and respond accordingly, since I’m at a loss as to what could be causing this. We’ll do what we can to work through it with you for a resolution though.

MemberThanks Diego. Going to get another dev to take a look here and see if there’s any reason not to take the route you’ve suggested in an official capacity.

MemberHey Justin. Thanks for the suggestions here; very good to hear. You are correct that the current recurrence functionality will not allow for this, but patterns like the one in your second message particularly are on the books for 2.1.

MemberHi Jonathan. Thanks for reporting this, and my apologies for the inconvenience you’ve experienced. I just tested this and can confirm that what you’ve identified is a new bug we didn’t yet have documented – thanks a lot for catching it. While I’m not sure there is a short-term solution I can offer up, rest assured that we will get this fixed for the 2.1 release (which we’re hard at work on now) so that a patch is in sight. Sorry I couldn’t offer up more in the short-term.
Rob
MemberHi Frank. Thanks for noting this. Are you using UTC time zone settings, per chance? We have identified a bug over the past couple weeks related to this, where sites running UTC time settings display the end time as 12:00/0:00. We’ve got a patch on the way for 2.1. If you can confirm whether or not that is your issue, I can get a dev to take a look as needed from there to see if they’ve got any short-term solutions. Apologies for the inconvenience thus far.

MemberHi Stefan. So you’re not seeing a migration prompt, when activating 2.0 after having 1.6.5 already? There should be something that appears on screen asking you to migrate. If not, can you send me an email (rob at tri.be) with a link to this thread and a set of backend credentials to the site, so I can take a look directly? Thanks in advance!

MemberAh, thanks for confirming Rowan. Let me get Jonah to take a look when he hits the forums today and see if he can offer anything up.
Rob
MemberHi Nini! Thanks for the post. Yup, this is one of our most-requested features so far so it’ll be included in the initial 2.1 push. It’s not yet in the code but will be.

MemberThanks for the post, Christina. Glad to see Evan has reached out to volunteer his services already. We’ve also got devs around on our end that we could point you towards if you find yourself needing it down the road…looks like Evan’s got you covered for now, which is awesome, so if you or anyone else ever does need it down the road, you can definitely let me know either here or via email (rob at tri.be).

MemberHi there Lynne. Thanks for the note here. While this isn’t doable out of the box, I can’t see it being too hard with a bit of customization. Let me see if Jonah can point you in the right direction when he hits the forums this morning.

MemberHi Kris. Thanks for reporting this. We would definitely like to check it out and if there is a bug, get that fixed. But the link appears to be dead…any way you can link us to a functioning calendar and we can take a look from there? Thanks in advance!
