MemberHey Michael. That configuration you’ve got definitely sounds like it could be an issue; while events can technically be scheduled to recur that far out we haven’t found most users do so, which would explain why this event hadn’t really come up before.
Are you in a position where you can test cutting those down (having the end in 2015, for example) to see if that resolves the issue? If you can confirm as much, I can see what the team can do to account for users with long-running events such as yours down the road.

MemberHey Michael. Since this was posted on the Friday before a holiday weekend (and we generally take those offline to maintain a work/life balance), Jonah has been out on vacation. He’s travelling today and should be hitting the forums again from there. He’ll be taking a look tonight at the earliest, more likely tomorrow morning. This thread is among the first batch on his list upon return.
Rob
MemberHey Scott. Thanks for confirming. You can check if PRO is installed by seeing if Events Calendar PRO is active on the Plugins list. The 2.0.4 update is being QAd now and should be out this week.
For #2, when I go to create a new event I see both of these fields right atop the page: http://cl.ly/1z3V1T0I2W1x181d1m2d. Have I misunderstood the request here?
Rob
MemberHey Javier. Thanks for the note; at this point this is an issue logged with our devs to review but is on the backburner as we focus on more immediate releases (Events 2.0.4, Community add-on, etc). If we were to add something along these lines it probably wouldn’t be added until at least 2.1.
Once I hear back as to whether it’s possible, I’ll let you guys know. But this unfortunately won’t mean the code is ready right at that time.
Rob
MemberHi Leonard. Thanks for reaching out; I believe I understand what you’re aiming to accomplish here. I’ve asked our dev Jonah to take a look when he returns from vacation tomorrow. No guarantees that we’ll be be able to get this solved for you (as it is customization-related), but we’ll do the best we can to assist and point you in the right direction. Stay tuned.
Rob
MemberHey guys. Just to confirm, both your creds have been received and passed along to Joey accordingly. We’re looking at this now and will report back what we can from there.
Rob
MemberHey Will: just a heads up that I believe Jonah is out travelling today, so you may not get a response here until tonight at the earliest and possibly tomorrow. Wanted to make sure you’re aware.
Rob
MemberHi Pierre. Can you elaborate on what you’re trying to do here? Not sure I understand but want to get you as comprehensive a response as possible 🙂 Let me know and my apologies for the confusion.

MemberHey Jason. Thanks for the note here; so if I understand correctly, you basically want to have just one category of events – but not all events – mixing in with your regular blog posts…correct? Let me know if I’m wrong there. Otherwise, have you checked whether this tut points you in the right direction (https://theeventscalendar.com/show-your-events-in-the-main-post-loop/) ? It’s not category specific, so you will have to dig a little deeper on your end, but if I understand correctly that’s generally the same issue. Let me know if I’m wrong there.

MemberHi Suzan. Thanks for the note; not sure I entirely understand your issue, have you changed the time/date settings under Settings -> General ? WordPress has some documentation along these lines that may help you out: http://codex.wordpress.org/Formatting_Date_and_Time. Let me know if I’ve misunderstood the request here and I can adjust my response as needed.
Rob
MemberHey Jo. Believe this thread got posted twice, so let’s keep the discussion going over at the other thread.
Rob
MemberThanks for the note, Ben. A few requests have come through for this (feel free to add another to the “Feature Requests” thread), so something along these lines may be added down the road…but as it stands unfortunately no such functionality exists. If it were a relatively easy workaround we would offer up some suggestions here, but looks like you’d have to hack at the core files to get this going (which isn’t recommended). Sorry I couldn’t offer up more here.
Rob
MemberOK, Rene – thanks. Just a heads up, I believe Jonah is traveling today so he may not get to take a look at this until tomorrow (or later tonight at the earliest).
Rob
MemberHey Tom: thanks for confirming. Just a heads up that Jonah may not be around today since I believe he’s traveling, so you may not get a response here until tomorrow. Just wanted to give you warning.
Rob
MemberWeird! Thanks for the heads up, Jo. I’m seeing the issue here…this is the first time I’ve ever seen anything along these lines. Let me see if our dev Jonah has any suggestions here; he’s out today but should be back tomorrow and addressing threads accordingly.
