MemberHi again Laura. Thanks for sending over the credentials. I checked this out just now. The good news is it appears that the Subscriber abilities are still present – after submitting the event I see an Edit link (http://d.pr/i/Z9NH), and when clicking it I can indeed edit the event.
However I am actually not seeing your issue. When I submit and go to “My Events” with the test account you created, I do see those options as I should: http://d.pr/i/t4hW. Is it possible the issue is isolated to a specific user’s account? If so, have you customized that account in any special way?
Rob
MemberHey Marty, thanks for the heads up. Any pattern to the events that are being separated out?
Rob
MemberHey Kevin. Thanks for the note here and sorry to hear that you’re having issues. Can you give me some clearer steps to recreate so I can attempt to see your issue? Or better yet, a link to a problematic iCal file on your site? My tests so far have been unsuccessful.
Here was what I did:
1. Created a new event on my WP site, which has UTC-7 as the time zone.
2. Published and downloaded the iCal file.
3. Imported the iCal file into Google Calendar.
4. The event was set to occur during the same timeframe in both locations. If you can shed some more light on it I’ll definitely troubleshoot and get an issue logged for the team as needed. Thanks for being patient and apologies for the inconvenience so far.

MemberIs it possible that the /events/month issue is because you have list view set as the default under Settings -> The Events Calendar?
We have heard a few reports of that pagination issue, though weirdly it only seems to be in certain situations. We’re looking into that as well and while the fix may not be in 2.0.7 it should be out as soon as we can find a resolution.

MemberHey Laura: can you upgrade to the latest WordPress and then re-save permalinks, to see if this issue persists? I see you’re still a dot-release behind and all things being equal it’s good to be on the current release, both to ensure the plugin works correctly and so you’re in the same environment as our support team.
I see you’ve deactivated the plugins already to find the issue persists. This makes me wonder if it’s a theme conflict; can you test reverting to the default 2011 theme and testing again from there? Please create new events for the test, rather than using ones already in the system.
We can try to keep troubleshooting from there. It’s tough as this is an unfamiliar issue we haven’t encountered yet but let us know about the above and we’ll proceed accordingly.

MemberHey Sunjay. Thanks for reaching out here. A couple of ideas…first, you could just try going to Settings -> The Events Calendar and changing to a different templating option from the dropdown there. The plugin comes with a couple of its own and your theme may have some as well.
If that doesn’t do the trick, you may want to try displaying your event data via template tags. Have you checked those out as they’re documented at https://theeventscalendar.com/support/documentation ?
Rob
MemberThanks Jonah. Javier, I’m going to close this thread since it looks like you’ve got what you need. Let us know if we can do anything else.

MemberHey Javier…so are you just trying to incorporate something that will hide events marked as “Hide From Upcoming” into the code you’ve provided here?
Rob
MemberHi there Nini. Thanks for the follow-up; this is the second report of user pain on this issue that we’ve heard over the past couple of weeks. While this was in the pile for 2.1 (as it’s a fairly large issue and is taking time to delve into), I’ve asked the team if we can bump it up to a sooner release. No guarantees but it’s now one of our higher priorities and we’re working towards it as such. Sorry I don’t have a more specific timetable, but know that relief is in sight.
Rob
MemberThanks Jonah!
Awesome to hear that did the trick, T.J. I’m going to close this out since it’s a rather old issue to begin with but if you have any other problems just fire up a new thread and we’ll take a look from there. Cheers!
Rob
MemberThanks for understanding, Javier, and sorry we let you down here. Please do reach out if we can do anything else down the road.
Rob
MemberHey James, thanks for confirming as much. I’m sort of at a loss as to what could be the issue here and I haven’t encountered this issue before, so I’ve asked Jonah from our dev team to take a look when he hits the forums next. Stay tuned and thanks for being patient so far.

MemberHey Quent. Thanks for the note on this. Have you tried building out multiple events, to the level you mentioned? From what I’ve seen how much of a slowdown you see is contingent on a number of factors; it’s not something that is the same for everyone and changes based on host, traffic, other plugins, etc.
We are working to find a solution, but unfortunately it is a somewhat time intensive issue and we’ve only got so much development bandwidth. That being said we’re aware it is a high priority and apologize for the inconvenience anyone feels in the interim.
Quent, in your case, I’d say give it a go and see whether you begin to encounter pains at a certain level. Let us know if you do…while we’d hate to see you go, if the speed didn’t meet your needs I’d certainly be willing to issue a refund. I will note that this isn’t a particularly widespread issue and in the 2000+ PRO users alone we’ve only heard a handful of such reports.
Thanks for being patient and please let us know if you need anything else.

MemberHey Michael. The only other thing I could think of here would be a theme conflict, if you’ve tested the plugin deactivation route. Did you build this theme, or customize it in any way? Are you in a position where you can test out reverting to the default 2011 theme (ideally with no plugins other than Events active)? It looks like that’s a staging site so there’s no risk of impacting live, unless I’m reading things wrong…
Rob
MemberHey Bill! Thanks for the note. Sadly this isn’t currently possible, but we’ve had a few requests for it so far and have an issue logged for our 2.1 release to look into it. No guarantees on a timetable there but it is on the docket.
Hope that helps and sorry I couldn’t offer up more. If you have other questions let me know.
