    Hi Geoff,

    Sorry it looks like ym reply didn’t send with the system information.

    I would prefer to keep all translations performed by WPML to avoid confusion in future.

    I’ve tried rescanning the plugin by it does not yield any further results

    I’ve raised a ticket with them here if it’s any help?

    Best wishes,

    George, I understand that, thank you, but would mind not ignoring two completely direct questions or requests?

    – Why have I received totally contradictory information from the same support team?

    – Why won’t you connect/invite onto this thread, someone who specifically works on this job, and has helped with a similar issue?

    and, now:

    – How do I escalate this issue with someone senior, please?

    Nothing personal, I appreciate your assistance, but we are not proceeding any further on a quite critical issue, and as a paying customer I am becoming dissatisfied with this issue.

    Thank you

    Hi George,

    That doesn’t explain the totally contradictory information from the same support team though?

    The fact that at no point have you asked for any login information or screenshots, or investigated our problem in a little more detail – other than “if you’ve followed the instructions then I’ve got no idea”, is concerning and unhelpful.

    If this is not your area of expertise, that’s totally fair enough – But please could you connect me with someone else who is better placed to assist, for example Geoff B, who has stated he in fact works directly on Events Calendar / WPML compatiblity.

    Many thanks & best wishes,

    Greg

    Furthermore, Geoff B in fact states previously that events calendar Pro IS compatible with WPML:

    As for WPML vs the Events Calendar compatibility, what I can tell you is that currently the Events Calendar is compatible with WPML for the following plugins:

    The Events Calendar free plugin
    – The Events Calendar Pro add-on (except for recurring events which we are in the process of fixing)

    Hi George,

    Then I’m confused – how/why are there large chunks of the plugin that are translated?

    Please could you bring Geoff B onto the thread as he was able to assist with a similar problem previously

    https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/users/geoffroyb/

    This is critical to our usage of the events calendar

    Surely someone within your organisation can tell me why your “category” link is being translated?

    Thank you

    Hi George,

    Yes 🙂

    /category/ is being translated to /categorie/… but the correct link is /category/ not /categorie/

    (Futhermore – our client is a French professional body and have advised that the translation for “Previous Events” is wrong. It should at least be PrĂ©cĂ©dents ÉvĂ©nements with an ‘s’ on ‘PrĂ©cĂ©dents’

    or, even better,

    Événements antérieures)

    Thanks

    Hi Hunter,

    Great thank you.

    It was actually the lines a little earlier in content.php I needed, but I figured it out. This worked perfectly. Much appreciated, thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

    Best wishes

    <div id=”tribe-events-footer”>

    <!– Footer Navigation –>
    <?php do_action( ‘tribe_events_before_footer_nav’ ); ?>
    <?php tribe_get_template_part( ‘list/nav’, ‘footer’ ); ?>
    <?php do_action( ‘tribe_events_after_footer_nav’ ); ?>

    </div>

    Hi George,

    Oops, yes sorry, WPML. I have already spoken to them and they have stated I should approach yourselves.

    Please could you invite Geoff B. onto this thread.

    As per our previous conversation he was interested in WPML compatibility issues and might be able to assist further.

    Month Titles in List View – Not translated in French

    Hi Hunter,

    Thanks for the info. That works great.

    Feedback – it would be much better if there was just an 2-way option in Events -> Settings -> Display
    “Past events list order: Chronological / Reverse Chronological”

    On a related topic, I am trying to place the link to Previous events near the top (above the month list, below the tribe Bar), so that visitors can find it easily. Previous events are just as future as past events for us.

    I have read this article:

    Add “Next” and “Previous” Links Above the Calendar in Legacy Month View

    But it relates to Month view (I can’t find one for list view)
    Reading the themer’s guide, I cant quite figure out how to make the parts of nav.php appear at the top of list.php

    Could you help please?

    Hi George,

    Thank you, that is very reasonable.

    The site is indeed in development at the moment. But some of the sub-sites should be accessible.

    Can you reach this page?

    http://cpmr-baltic.org/events/

    The problem box is visible there on the event “CPMR Political Bureau”

    Cheers all the best.

    Hi Geoff,

    OK thanks, I’ve followed all those steps, particularly the support from WPML – the problem persists.

    https://wpml.org/forums/topic/translating-names-of-months-and-days/#post-432806

    – Go to wpml -> themes and plugins localization.
    – Enable “Translate by WPML” option
    – Enable “WPML will automatically download WordPress translations” option.

    Within the section…

    “Strings in the theme – The following strings were found in your theme.”

    the-events-calendar
    Fully translated 0
    Not translated or needs update 7

    tribe-events-calendar-pro
    Fully translated 0
    Not translated or needs update 7

    It seems like there is 7 strings missing?

    Thanks

    Well… this is awkward 🙂 Thanks a lot.

    On the same topic – we’ve hidden the content of the info box which appears below, but I can’t seem to hide the box itself, so we get a double border.

    I can do it by setting the min-height of the container, but this isn’t particularly pretty.

    How can I hide this lower box? I can’t find any reference of it in the CSS
