ParticipantHey Cliff,
Instead of re-inventing the wheel and trying to make Events Calendar perform as a full-function form plugin as well, why not some close integration with a popular pre-existing plugin like Gravity Forms?
I found this plugin, but it’s 2 years old. I wonder if you know anything about it or if you have any ongoing integration/relationship with Gravity forms? Like you do with Themefusion/Avada, for example
https://wordpress.org/plugins/the-events-calendar-registration/
This would solve everything I think.
all the best

ParticipantHi George,
Thanks for your message. I have actually be able to acheive most of this via display:none; CSS – not ideal as I’d rather not load those assets in the first place, but hey.
Regarding point 4 – I don’t think this is really a styling/ customisation question, acutally, it was more a support thing. All our events are Free. I’m just wondering why one is showing up with a “FREE” banner, while the others arent? Is some sort of price shown (free or otherwise) by default soon as tickets are made available for an event?
Regarding point 1 – This is kinda related to the “Unnamed Venue” issue that has been discussed many times on your forums. In fact, your colleague Casey seems to have resolved this simple request for another customer without them having to pay a minimum of $50, here:
I wonder if you could show me the same help, please. As you can see, the answer there is hidden.
(Trying to hide this link is proving hard, as the CSS line related to it is quite obscure)
<div class=”tribe-events-venue-details”>
<span class=”author fn org”>Thanks a lot

ParticipantHi Cliff,
Judging by that response, the answer is no, we can’t do it? I have +1 that feature.
Any timeline on release please? Or suggestion of an alternative solution?
Thank you

ParticipantHi Cliff,
Exactly.
We need to customise the RSVP form to capture the informantion shown on that JotForm RSVP/event registration form example.
All EVENT information will be entered in admin. (no need for front end event creation).
It is just the RSVP functionality we need to expand to include the advanced example fields.
Thanks, hope this helps clarify

ParticipantHi Cliff,
We’re already a PRO customer, so I guess I’m really asking if we can build an event regsitration form like that, using Pro (& custom fields?)
No need for paid tickets / front end event creation etc.
Admin just needs to set up 1 complex default form which will be used for all events.
Thanks

ParticipantHi Cliff,
I have spoken with Avada who will address the bug.
On the same topic, but not specifically a bug –
We’re using the Events List widget on the sidebar of the main events calendar page (to give visitors a quick overview of all forthcoming events).
http://cpmr-atlantic.org/events/
But the “View More” link is always present, which of course just takes them on a loop to the page they’re already on.
Could I recommend adding an option to the widget to Show/Hide “View More” link on a per-widget usage basis?
Thanks,
Greg

ParticipantHi Cliff –
Actually i found this while looking at a seperate Avada issue. Can you tell me if this has now resolved the conflict you were seeing?
Thanks
Greg
Greg
ParticipantHey Cliff,
Sure I will check this out – it feels like something the guys at Themefusion should be doing as its their theme, sold as compatible and integrated, that we’re using! But hey.
One thing though – which debug console are you using and what configuration/ where should I look to find the conflict displayed, as you have in your screenshot?
This problem isn’t presenting and problems front or back end so a bit tricky to spot, with no symptoms!
Cheers all the best

ParticipantHello just to add a +1 to this as discussed over at
Greg
ParticipantHey Cliff,
Thanks that has fixed everything – apoligies the button styling code was indeed hidden in Avada.
I see the wording of the “export” button hover is changed too in 4.0 which is much clearer 🙂
The Google maps error – could you explain a little more about what action I need to take please? It wasn’t quite clear.
Thank you

ParticipantHello Cliff,
No errors; sorry for the confusion – it’s a multisite, and the parent site is currently on our server, whilst the site in question is accessible directly from its domain. Which is why you’re seeing the 404’s
If you add the following to your hosts file you will access the site fine and not see these errors:
91.146.109.70 http://www.cpmr.org cpmr.org
Then hopefully you will be able to answer the remaining questions
Thank you

ParticipantHi Cliff
OK thank’s I’ll speak to Themefusion about the rest of the styling-related questions, however:
> 2. This “Find Events” button does not re-size, and where is it taking its styling from? It’s almost invisible, plus we find no setting anywhere on the site that specifies the color of the hover state, #DEF8F5
— There is no setting in our Avada setup for any element coloured #DEF8F5. So this must be coming from the plugin?
Furthmore, the button is not responsive – surely this again is code from the plugin?
> 3. View As box/link. What is this supposed to do? On click nothing happens.
— No answer received
> Question related to point 5: Hover state of this button talks about a Google calendar compatible download. Even though iCal is .ics, is this not a bit confusing for visitors who don’t know this? Eg. they would think that there is no Apple iCal support, only Google Calendar?
— No answer received
Thank you

ParticipantHi Cliff,
I’m sorry, it seems I forgot to mention that we are using Avada theme, so I found the setting for what we needed to achieve under Theme Options -> Events Calendar -> Global Sidebar. It’s working here:
http://cpmr-atlantic.org/events/
Because Events Calendar comes bundled with Avada now, I would have hoped there would be very slick compatibility with styling etc. But we do have some other issues…
Here is a screenshot (by the way, provision to upload a screenshot here in your support ticket system would be quite helpful).
http://www.screencast.com/t/YHpgW9gvp
I have labelled the 5 problems.
1. Normally at page/post level in Avada, there is the option to overide the default page padding. But as this is some sort of custom post, we have no visibility to do this. How can we do this?
2. This “Find Events” button does not re-size, and where is it taking its styling from? It’s almost invisible, plus we find no setting anywhere on the site that specifies the color of the hover state, #DEF8F5
3. View As box/link. What is this supposed to do? On click nothing happens.
4. What is this dual horizontal line?
5. Export button – similar to problem 2. It’s white by default, I only found it by accident moving the mouse around. How to style this button please?
Question related to point 5: Hover state of this button talks about a Google calendar compatible download. Even though iCal is .ics, is this not a bit confusing for visitors who don’t know this? Eg. they would think that there is no Apple iCal support, only Google Calendar?
General Question – Our client would like to be able to see a print-friendly list of all forthcoming events. How can we achieve this please?
Thanks very much
