ParticipantHi,
How do we invert the display order of Previous Events? (eg newest first)
The page currently displays the oldest at the top, and the visitor must scroll to the bottom of the page to find the most recent event, which is quite unhelpful and counter-intuitive.
Thank you
Greg

ModeratorHey Greg,
Please review this article and let me know if it helps. I know sometimes the order can be confusing. We try our best to find that middle ground, but usually provide adjustments for the contrary. Thanks for choosing PRO and enjoy your week.

ParticipantHi Hunter,
Thanks for the info. That works great.
Feedback – it would be much better if there was just an 2-way option in Events -> Settings -> Display
“Past events list order: Chronological / Reverse Chronological”On a related topic, I am trying to place the link to Previous events near the top (above the month list, below the tribe Bar), so that visitors can find it easily. Previous events are just as future as past events for us.
I have read this article:
Add “Next” and “Previous” Links Above the Calendar in Legacy Month View
But it relates to Month view (I can’t find one for list view)
Reading the themer’s guide, I cant quite figure out how to make the parts of nav.php appear at the top of list.phpCould you help please?
Greg

ModeratorHey Greg,
Welcome back. I see the validity in your logic behind the previous events order. If you’ve got a moment, it may be an idea worth mentioning via our UserVoice Feature Ideas if it hasn’t already.
To add navigation links above the list view content, you can do a template override as outlined in our Themer’s Guide. The file you’ll need to edit is /the-events-calendar/src/views/list/content.php. The navigation begins around line 52.
Let me know if this helps and best of luck with the customizations 🙂
