MemberHi Diane,
Glad to hear this is fixed š Messing with the doctype declaration -or lacking one- can generate strange glitches for sure!
Iāll go ahead and close out this thread, but if you need help with anything else please donāt hesitate to create a new one and we will be happy to assist you.

MemberHi Kelly,
Thanks for reaching out to us on this! Unfortunately this is a bug introduced in our last update š
Please take a look at this temporary solution: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/html-shows-as-text/#dl_post-1003968 – other option is to downgrade the plugins to a previous working version.
This bug is already logged and a fix for this will be included in next release coming out -hopefully- in November.
Please let me know if you can apply the fix for now,
Best,
NicoNico
MemberHowdy ,
Welcome to our support forums and thanks for reaching out to us. I’ll try to help you out with these questions:
1. Sometimes the filter widget doesnāt display the right data.
Can you please describe the steps to reproduce this? It might be a known bug where query arguments get overwritten instead of combined.
2. In the tooltip of the month view…
Can you specify where you are adding the code you shared? Is it the code for categories the one that doesn’t work? Tag’s output is correct?
3. Lastly Iād like to create a specific page for each of my organizers. the page works but instead of having a list Iād like to display a month view.
The easy way of doing this would be to re-direct the user to Month view, passing the organizer ID like this: http://site.com/events/month/?tribe_organizers=organizer_id – that will lead to Month view filtered by organizer (requires Filter Bar to be active).
You can also include the mini calendar widget in the Organizer view, and pass the organizer ID to show the organizer’s events in the widget. Take a look at PRO Shortcodes for details on that. Please let me know about those follow-up questions,
Best,
NicoPS: next time please open up a new thread for each of the questions, that way they can be addressed faster by different team members simultaneously. Thanks!
Nico
MemberHey Soren,
I believe it is not working because in 3.11 we released the multiple organizer feature and we missed updating the templates to reflect that change.
I understood maybe this is somehow affecting your case, but maybe not. Dude, this issue was quite strange and I surely haven’t heard of any other similar case.
Since you are at a good point with your JS customizations, Iāll go ahead and close out this thread, but if this becomes an issue in the future please donāt hesitate to create a new thread and we will be happy to assist you.
Best of luck with your project,
NicoNico
MemberHey B,
Thanks for understanding! I really hope this can be addressed in the near future.
Ahhh, so close but yet so farā¦
I guess it was a long way to this initial integration but the decision is to increase compatibility so hopefully the wait is not so long this time.
Iāll go ahead and close out this thread, but if you need help with anything else please donāt hesitate to create a new one and we will be happy to assist you.

MemberHola Victor,
Saludos,

MemberHey Diane,
Thanks for following-up on this!
Sorry to alarm you with the JS errors, a couple of those where generated by my ad-blocker extension in Chrome. I see the map error and another one, take a look: https://cloudup.com/cFLSWLymRmx
Latest versions of the plugins are: Core 3.12.1 and PRO 3.12. Can you check on that? A maintenance release for PRO is coming out -hopefully today- o if you can hold a bit until this is out it would be great – it doesn’t include much front-end fixes but it does fix some recurrence bugs that were reported lately.
Also I see you are using a cache plugin: be sure to flush all caches after upgrading. And note that you have some html inserted before the <!DOCTYPE html> doctype declaration with is weird and can cause some random issues as well.
Please let me know when you can update to latest,
Best,
NicoNico
MemberHey Dan,
Sorry to let you down on this one š
Best I can say is up-vote and promote this feature request on Uservoice as it doesn’t seem to be among the most popular requests.
Iāll go ahead and close out this thread, but if you need help with anything else please donāt hesitate to create a new one and we will be happy to assist you.

MemberHowdy Adam,
Welcome to our support forums and thanks for reaching out to us.
I think there’s a confusion on this, The Events Calendar does not add any user roles, searching a bit it appears to be that another calendar plugin does it.
Our plugin relies on WordPress user registration, so you can change that in ‘WP-Admin > Settings > General > New User Default Role’. Not sure if you will encounter any problems with ‘Event Contributor’ role, but you might want to run a quick test on this.
Please let me know about this,

MemberHi B,
Thanks for your thoughtful reply! I really appreciate you have taken the time for it. This type of feedback help us shape our product and get a sense of what’s important for our users.
This is our first step into a complicated integration -both WPML and The Events Calendar are rather complex plugins- and we will continue to work on improving and adjusting it. Talked a bit with Gustavo one of our devs who worked on this feature, and he told me this first round was built around ‘Manual Translation’ and haven’t been tested with āTranslation Editorā configuration. He told me this is likely to be integrated in the future, and I’ve logged a ticket in our product backlog to specifically address this aspect of the integration.
I totally see the point in your request, but unfortunately for now this all I can do to push this forward.
Please let me know if there’s anything I can do for you on this,

MemberHi there Umar,
Thanks for your interest in Events Calendar PRO!
Hopefully this is possible, users can subscribe to the iCal feed by using the URL that shows up in the ‘+ Export Listed Events’ button for a category view. The URL looks like this: http://you-site.com/events/category/cat-slug/?ical=1, the same goes for other views š
Please let me know if this answers your question,

MemberHi there Victor,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
‘Event tags’ are indeed regular ‘post tags’, while ‘Event Categories’ are a custom taxonomy just for events, that’s whey they behave in different ways. Unfortunately there’s no easy way of hooking this up for now but I don’t see this as impossible as well. Crafting this customization for you would be out of our support scope but if you are willing to develop it when can surely assist you.
Please let me know if you are confident with your coding skills and willing to invest some time digging into this,
Best,
NicoPS: if you prefer we can continue in Spanish from now on š

MemberHowdy Dan,
Welcome to our support forums and thanks for reaching out to us.
Interesting customization here, I think we’ve never heard of a similar request!
First place to start working on this is our Themer’s guide. Have you checked that out and understood it?
The process of replacing the links should be fairly simple, a quick template override should be enough. Now regarding the map + photo views combination, that can be a bit trickier. I guess the way to go would be to build the ‘photo display’ in map view and not the other way around, as they way map view works is a bit harder to replicate.
Please let me know if you could go through the themer’s guide and understand the process works, that way I can point you to the right direction,
Best,
NicoNico
MemberHowdy James,
Welcome to our support forums and thanks for reaching out to us. Sorry to hear about the issue you are experiencing but hopefully I can help you out here š
First thing I would suggest trying is to follow the steps described in our Testing for conflicts guide? This way we can see if this is a problem in our plugin or a conflict with the theme or other installed plugins. This should help us narrowing down the issue.
If you have a URL where I can see this live it can help as well.
Please let me know about how the testing goes,
Best,
