Distinguishing event URL by month/year

We have a number of events that use the same name and occur repeatedly, month to month, or year to year. For example, “Membership Committee Meeting” that will occur in October 2015, December 2015, and February 2016, etc. Or our “Annual Conference” that will occur in 2015, 2016, 2017, etc.

Without putting the date in the actual title of the event or manually changing the URL each time, is there an automated/easy way to distinguish between October’s Membership Committee Meeting and December’s? I don’t want domain.com/event/membership-commmittee-meeting-2, /event/membership-commmittee-meeting-3, and /event/membership-commmittee-meeting-4.

I know I can manually change it to /event/membership-commmittee-meeting-oct-2015, /event/membership-commmittee-meeting-dec-2015, etc, but that seems like a lot of work.

Any ideas?

Welcome to our support forums and thanks for reaching out to us. Unfortunately there’s no easy way of achieving this at the time 🙁

I guess the most straight forward method is to manually change event slugs, as you note. In the thread you mention there’s a description of the possible paths to follow if you want to develop this, at this point I cannot think of any other way of doing so.
