MemberHi Gosia,
Thanks for the patience here!
So, the following snippet add a + iCal Export Series link to the existing ones. Just paste the code in your theme’s (or child theme) functions.php file:
https://gist.github.com/niconerd/3876598a70b521f87cc40ac0e0ec37f0
The new link should only show in recurring events and not in single events!
Please let me know about it,

MemberHi there Merjin!
Thanks for re-sending the page!
I could reproduce this issue locally, and could solve it by changing the language of the site and ‘Saving Changes’. I did this for every language in the install and re-tested each time to see if having the language as default helped. After doing this I finally configured the site language to the original default option. This resolved the issue, I guess because it re-downloaded all language packs.
Can you give please this a try? Also please note that dates are not translated by our plugin but by WordPress itself, using the date_i18n() function. I’ve seen some similar issues in our site and also in the WPML forums, but couldn’t find a ‘universal’ solution for this yet!
Please let me know about it,
Best,
NicoNico
MemberHey Mike,
Thanks for following up and glad to hear to this worked for events without exclusions.
The script Barry put together wasn’t taking in account exclusions. You can go a head and ‘convert’ the exclusions to the new format as you are seeing in the new event you generated.
Please let me know if I’m missing something here!

MemberHi Dennis,
Thanks for reaching out to us! I can help you here…
To start off let me point you to an article on this subject: How to Stop WordPress Trackback and Pingback Spam.
As the article suggests it might be a good idea to just turn off trackbacks/pingbacks if it just doesn’t benefit your site. If you want to just turn them of for venues, you can paste the following snippet in your theme’s functions.php file:
https://gist.github.com/niconerd/b12272cf7c05e67211061dd8954eefcd
And a more “wonder why” question…if comment functionality is disabled by default, why wouldn’t pingbacks/trackbacks be disabled on these post types by default, avoiding this from the get go? Or even options in the settings of the plugin?
I guess the approach here is to follow the same convention as WordPress (allow trackbacks/pingbacks). It’s true we disable comments on those post types, that’s because doing so is what makes sense for most of our customers.
Please let me know if this helps you out,

MemberHi Thomas,
Thanks for getting in touch!
Unfortunately it’s not possible to have an event without a specific date. Can you elaborate a bit on what you are trying to achieve?
Please let me know about it,

MemberHey Kelly,
Thanks for following up!
You can get previous versions of TEC here: https://wordpress.org/plugins/the-events-calendar/developers/ – but if you don’t have much time to test don’t worry.
We are actively looking at this issue, and for now it seems to be an EventBrite API change. Hopefully we can have more information on this next week.
Thanks for the patience while we work on this,

MemberHey folks,
Thanks for following up! We have fixed the snippet in the article Moving the ticket form, so you might try that before creating a new post Dean, if it still doesn’t work for you then please go ahead and create a new thread for the issue.
Simon, sorry to hear about the syntax error. Please be sure to paste the snippet at the bottom of the functions.php file, before the php closing tag ?> if any present in the file. If the error continues please upload the complete code of functions.php to a service like PasteBin or GitHub Gists, and share the link in a private reply.
Thanks,
Have a great weekend,

MemberThanks for following up with the settings screenshot!
I guess the event is not showing because the start date is the same as the end date. Can you try to modify the end date to 5pm for example?
Please let me know about it,

MemberHey @bethschillaci,
Thanks for following up!
In cases of theme conflicts as this one we recommend reaching out to the theme authors to report the incompatibility. I see they indicate compatibility with our plugin so mostly sure they’ll work it out.
Please let me know if there’s anything else I can help you with,

MemberHi Scott,
Thanks for the patience here! I gave the snippet a try and found other simpler approach.
Paste the following code in your theme’s (or child theme’s) functions.php, and replace both page IDs for the corresponding ones:
https://gist.github.com/niconerd/1cdaa530e4f5d84e8dfd8ddc0f84b967
Please give it a try and let me know,

MemberHi Jorge,
Thanks for your interest in our products 🙂
Facebook Importer let’s you import events by id (123126312321) or you can also fetch events from FB pages. So it’s not necessary for your client to input the Event ID’s one by one.
You mention your client is a Club, not sure what type of venue it is but please keep in mind that you may not be able to import events that Facebook deems adult in nature, including breweries, bars, night clubs, and adult entertainment. The Facebook API dictates that only public, unrestricted events are importable at this time.
Also does it have a specific frontend for the customer?
Not sure what you mean… The plugin interface is pretty similar to the one showed in the video (it has changed a bit). After the import the events show up in the site calendar, as other events created from WordPress.
Please let me know if this answers your question,
Best,
