MemberHi there Mr.Peri,
Glad to help you once again in the forums ๐
Seems like this is not working because you don’t have photo view enabled (WP-Admin > Events > Settings > Display > Enable event views). Cna you try enabling it and re-checking if that fixes this?
Another questions, is there an attribute where I can hide the โUpcoming eventsโ heading above the list/calendar
No there’s no parameter for this but seems like it should be easy to tackle with CSS. Let me know if you need help.
and also an attribute where I can limit the amount of events that are shown in a list/photoview or how many in a row in photo view?
Again, no specific attribute for this. It will follow the settings in WP-Admin > Events > Settings > General > Number of events to show per page.
Please let me know if there’s anything else I can help you with,

MemberThanks for following up Adulis! Sorry if my reply sounded like I’m trying to pass along the issue to the theme support team just because. This is not my intention at all!
ok how would I be able to describe this problem?
You cna point them to this thread in which the issue is fully described, and make sure to mention the version of The Events Calendar (or Events Calendar PRO) that brought this issue into light.
Beucase this issue only happened when I updated the events calendar plugin it worked fine before which would make thing its an issue on this end and not the theme.
I think I said this before but we didn’t make any changes in how our post type is defined, so not sure what can be affecting this. From what I’ve seen and tested this wasn’t working because you menaully had to input ‘tribe_events’ in their ‘additional post types’ fields.
Second thing, the only reason Iโm doing this workaround and displaying events through โtagsโ is because the events calendar doesnโt work with wordpress categories. It would be really easy if it did. If I can just select a wordpress category instead of using tags.
The decision to use our own taxonomy instead of default WordPress categories comes from the first days of our plugins and I don’t think it’s going to change in the near future (at least). I’m mostly sure it’s possible to modify the Events post type definition to enable WordPress default categories, if you are interest in that please let me know and I’ll take a look at it ๐

MemberHey Christophe,
Thanks for getting in touch with us!
Is it ok to to have our plugins registered on our test site at http://test.angsbacka.se? Can i do this without the system thinking iโm using a single license twice?
It’s ok to set the keys in the staging site, although you’ll have to move them to the live site later. Just to clarify you can move them from one site to the other but cannot have the license configured in two different sites simultaneously.
For more details on this take a look to this knowledge base article โ Moving your license keys.
Please let me know if it helped,

MemberHi there Katherine,
Thanks for reaching out to us on this!
Could you please confirm if I disconnect the licence so I can add the new domain that nothing will be lost?
Yes, I can confirm this. You can safely disconnect the license from the temporary site and set it up in the new site. You’ll find more info about this here โ Moving your license keys.
Please let me know if this answers your question,

MemberHi there Thomas,
Thanks for getting in touch with us, and sorry for the confusion here.
Event Aggregator is a service built into The Events Calendar. This means there’s no separate plugin you need to download for this, but a feature you activate by configuring a valid Event Aggregator license key.
So just go ahead and update The Events Calendar to version 4.3 from your WordPress site. Once that’s done configure your Aggregator license key (WP-Admin > Events > Settings > Licenses) and save changes. This will enable you to perform imports from WP-Admin > Events > Imports. Also, be sure to check out this article covering the basics โ New User Primer: Event Aggregator.
Please let me know if the above helps,

MemberHi there Keith,
Thanks for getting in touch with us!
are you guys planning on having the ability to add random dates to a single event?
I don’t think this is a planned feature. For now all events need to have a start and end date set (it can be a multi-day event). If Events Calendar PRO is activated in the site then you’ll be able to create recurring events following patterns or ‘random dates’ as you mention.
Can you describe a bit why you need this feature? Maybe there’s a way of settings things up that work for you!
Please let me know about it,
Best,

MemberHi there Thomas,
Thanks for getting in touch with us and for your interest in our products ๐
can I import event calendar pro events from my other sites using event calendar?
Sure you can import events from other The Events Calendar powered sites. You will need to get the ics feed URL (http://sitename/events/?ical=1) and create a new import for that URL as explianed here โ Event Aggregator: Importing Events from a Feed or URL.
Just to be clear the ics feed URL of a site is the events URL + ‘ical=1’. This will return the events in the view in ics format. If you need to customize the time range of these feeds we can help you out with a snippet to do so.
Please let me know if there’s anything else I can help you with,

MemberHi there,
Thanks for getting in touch with us!
Yes, all previous iCal and Facebook Importer users have been granted a free Event Aggregator license with the same expiry date! Check out this article for more details on the transition: Moving to Event Aggregator.
Please let me know if this helps,

MemberHi there Jevon,
Thanks for getting in touch with us! I can help you out on this ๐
Hopefully we have a code snippet to copy the site admin in the tickets email:
https://gist.github.com/cliffordp/4f06f95dbff364242cf54a3b5271b182
Just paste the code above in you theme’s (or child theme’s) functions.php file and it should do the trick!

MemberHi there Bram,
Thanks for getting in touch with us! I can help you here ๐
You can use the tribe_is_event_query to see if it’s an events related page. There are other conditionals to detect particular views in the calendar: tribe_is_month, tribe_is_week, tribe_is_day, etc.
Please give tribe_is_event_query a try and let me know if that works for you,

MemberHey @adodd,
Thanks for getting in touch with us and for your interest in our plugins.
We have a free plugin called Event Tickets that handles what you need ๐
Check the product page for more details โ https://theeventscalendar.com/product/wordpress-event-tickets/If at any point you are looking to sell tickets on your site you can checkout Event Tickets Plus.
Please let me know if there’s anything else I can do for you,

MemberThanks for following up Elaine (or is it Jack?)! Event tickets templates are filtered in a different way with ‘dynamic’ filter (filter generated on the file for each template).
To override the ‘wootickets/tickets/’ template you can use the snippet below:
function tribe_filter_tickets_template_path ( $file ) {echo 'Trying to hook a custom template for ( wootickets/tickets ) - ';
$custom_file_path = ABSPATH . 'wp-content/plugins/tribe-overrides/wootickets/tickets.php';// file doesn't exist in custom path, go with the default option
if ( !file_exists($custom_file_path) ) {
echo 'Custom template not found';
return $file;
}// file exists in custom path, let's use it
echo 'Custom template returned';
return $custom_file_path;
}
add_filter( 'tribe_events_tickets_template_wootickets/tickets.php', 'tribe_filter_tickets_template_path' );
Feel free to change the path where it’s looking for the override template to something else. Just tested it and it works as expected so I guess you won’t have any troubles with it ๐
Best,
