ParticipantHello Matthew,
You are correct. When it comes to the payment gateways, the Easy Digital Download plugin takes over and all the settings and other information would be controlled by that plugin.
Does that answer the question?

ParticipantHello stmarksitaly,
I see what you mean about the blue bar. From what I can tell, they seem to be events with a start time but no end time. Is that the case? Or is the end time being affected too? When you go into the dashboard and edit the events, does an end time show up there, or is it just the front end?

ParticipantHello Michelle,
Did you by chance get this figured out before I could back to you? When I go to your site I see http://d.pr/i/Chqs

ParticipantHello comhlamh,
Thank you for your excellent documentation of the issue. I think I have a clear picture of what it is doing now, but I’m going to log this as a bug and have one of our developers take a deeper look. We’ll get back to you shortly with what they find.

ParticipantHehe. Common mistake there. Do it myself.
And thanks for the info on your experience, jimmulvaney. Duly noted and we’ll see if we can address it. Appreciate you taking the time. I’m going to close out this thread at this point then.

ParticipantI’m sorry we have confused you Helen. That is a known issue on the site and we’re working on getting it fixed. Thanks for pointing it out and reminding us about it!
Did you find what you were looking for then?

ParticipantSo glad you’re happy with it, izamar! If you have a minute or two, we’d love it if you can write a few words for us here : http://wordpress.org/support/view/plugin-reviews/the-events-calendar?filter=5
Thanks in advance. 🙂

ParticipantHi James,
Since the events reside in the WordPress database, you’d need to use a database migration tool to do that. (Maybe WP Migrate DB?) If you have some MySQL-fu you might be able to accomplish that. But there is no export feature.
(Although we just recently added a CVS import feature. So a kludgy workaround might be to do an iCal import into Google, if you have the PRO version, and then export a CSV from there? Haven’t tried that. Just a thought.)

ParticipantHi Jason,
I’m glad you found our WPShindig site! As our demo site, it has our PRO add-on installed so some of the views are specific to that, but the calendar is part of our free The Events Calendar plugin that is used as the base. If you want to test out the calendar itself, you can download it here: http://wordpress.org/plugins/the-events-calendar/ And, I should mention that setting the calendar as the home page is not something it’s designed to do out of the box. If you notice, even http://wpshindig.com is redirected to http://wpshindig.com/events/. It doesn’t sit on the actual home page of the site.
As for the theme, that’s just a fancied up version of the default Twenty Twelve theme. We might be able to make arrangements if you are interested in it.

ParticipantEnqueueing scripts is something I’ll want to run by one of the developers. Hang on and we’ll see what they say.

ParticipantI believe we pull the large size of the image, but I’ll double check that with one of the developers. I do know that Facebook recently changed it’s API and images were affected by that.
Also, what do you mean by “cropped”? Do you mean resized? Or are you expecting the import function to select a portion of the image to bring in?

ParticipantIf you’d like to ask for a refund, send an email to pro (at) tri.be and reference this thread and your receipt and they’ll get you taken care of.
Can I ask though if anything in our product descriptions or other information led you to believe that it would sync with Facebook?

ParticipantHi cruxcreative,
That is exactly what the plugin will do. So often we get questions about combining calendars (which it can’t do), but your situation is what we had in mind when we built it.

ParticipantHi izamar,
You are right that those are the only options available for the Eventbrite tickets. It’s a limitation of the Eventbrite API that we have to work with. I suppose if you wanted them to go to the Eventbrite page to order tickets you could just include a link in the event description and handle it that way.
It sounds like that’s not a perfect solution for you, but I hope you can make it work. If you have any other questions, please let me know.

ParticipantHi Brian,
It looks like our plugins should work with that theme (although I’ve never tested that myself). For a registration form, that doesn’t require any money to be exchanged, I might suggest our new EDD Tickets add-on. You can set up tickets for the event, set the price to “Free”, and they should not be asked for any payment information. You will still get a list of who has registered and be able to set a limit on the number of tickets sold if that’s needed.
The one thing that might not be exactly as you asked is address. If you were referring to an email address, that’s no problem. The information gathered for each ticket includes the buyer’s name and email. However, if you were looking to collect a physical address, that is not something the plugin does. And if you were interested in doing that it would likely require customization, but that would be of the Easy Digital Downloads plugin, not The Events Calendar plugin.
I hope that answers your questions. Please let me know if it did not.
