ParticipantJust wanted to know, I have events created in my “Events Calendar” and was wondering if this add-on allows you to sync with facebook rather than just import from? Meaning the facebook page has zero events and I need it to import the created events into the facebook page. Is that possible?

ParticipantHey jimulvaney,
At this time, the Facebook plugin only imports from Facebook into WordPress. So no, it’s not capable of pushing it the other way. However, it is something that has been suggested before. If you’d like to check that out and add your voice, head over to our Feature Ideas page at https://tribe.uservoice.com/forums/195723-feature-ideas

ParticipantOkay, that was what I figured. Do you know of any way to export the wordpress events so it can be imported into facebook?

ParticipantThat’s not built into the plugin. And there’s no specific way to export the events. There is a way to send them to a Google Calendar, however. Would maybe that work as a bridge to get them into Facebook?

ParticipantNo that will not work for my client. Also, the facebook sync plugin just created a bunch of duplicate dates on his site so he just wants me to undo everything. We are going to be keeping the Events Calendar but can we ‘return’ the Facebook Events plugin?

ParticipantIf you’d like to ask for a refund, send an email to pro (at) tri.be and reference this thread and your receipt and they’ll get you taken care of.
Can I ask though if anything in our product descriptions or other information led you to believe that it would sync with Facebook?

ParticipantI can’t say. What I think happened that day was that I came to that conclusion based on your product being referred to in forums and support threads when searching for “WordPress Facebook Events Sync plugin” or something like that. Apparently there was a plugin that did what I was expecting but it no longer works nor is it supported by the author because he sold it to tribe? So when I found that, I assumed that since that is what the old plugin did, your plugin did as well, I just had to pay for it. However, the same argument can be made for both sides as there is nothing in your documentation that says it does NOT sync with facebook, as I am sure; judging by the forum threads on wordpress.org, I am not the first person to ask.

ParticipantHehe. Common mistake there. Do it myself.
And thanks for the info on your experience, jimmulvaney. Duly noted and we’ll see if we can address it. Appreciate you taking the time. I’m going to close out this thread at this point then.
