ParticipantHi timothygrahl,
Our plugins do not include that functionality out-of-the-box, nor do they utilize shortcodes at the present time. So currently the only way to to that would be to customize your theme to display the search bar. You can find some information on how to do that either in the Themer’s Guide (https://theeventscalendar.com/support/documentation/events-calendar-themers-guide/) or in our Documentation (http://docs.tri.be/). It will require digging into the code to accomplish, but should be do-able. However, since it does fall into the area of customization, I hope you can understand that we’re not able to provide specific support for your situation.

ParticipantHi amycarolyn,
That sounds like something that could be handled through the HTML / CSS in your theme. Have you seen our Themer’s Guide (https://theeventscalendar.com/support/documentation/events-calendar-themers-guide/)?
Also, this sounds like a more general question than Facebook Events. I hope you don’t mind if I move the thread over to our PRO forum instead.

ParticipantThat’s not built into the plugin. And there’s no specific way to export the events. There is a way to send them to a Google Calendar, however. Would maybe that work as a bridge to get them into Facebook?

ParticipantHi Jasper,
I’m not sure I fully understand your question. The PRO add-on does allow for recurring events. It assumes a regular recurrence such as every Thursday at 3pm, for instance. However, is what you are asking something more like (and I’m making this up here, help me out if you can…) a monthly photography class where each month is a different topic? What kind of options are you referring to?

ParticipantI’m sorry I wasn’t clear, Jen. There is no way to merge the calendars into one “big calendar” on the main installation. They are all separate.

ParticipantSounds like you’ve got it figured out then, catrose937. Good luck with your site. Let us know if you ever need any help.

ParticipantHey jimulvaney,
At this time, the Facebook plugin only imports from Facebook into WordPress. So no, it’s not capable of pushing it the other way. However, it is something that has been suggested before. If you’d like to check that out and add your voice, head over to our Feature Ideas page at https://tribe.uservoice.com/forums/195723-feature-ideas

ParticipantHey swathy,
The calendar plugin is designed to have just one calendar per WordPress install. So no, it’s not something the plugin can do at this time. However, it is something that has been suggested before. ParticipantHey swathy,
The calendar plugin is designed to have just one calendar per website, even on multi-site installs. So no.

ParticipantHey catrose937,
The new EDD ticketing solution could work for you, but you might want to just look at a straight EDD solution too.
Happy I could help. Good iuck with your project. If you need anything else, just let us know.

ParticipantHi Jonathan,
Do you have a current copy of the Events Calendar PRO plugin? If so, you should see a drop down menu right under the date and time area on the New Event screen, like this: http://d.pr/i/VPXu
Do you see that? Do you have the PRO plugin installed and activated?

Participantcatrose937,
Well, I guess what I was thinking is that the ticket would have a link to a password-protected WordPress page (or webinar page) and that the password could be on the ticket too. That would be separate page from the calendar-based event page that would be displayed to the public. The event page would have a description but the password-protected page would have the actual content. As far as security goes, that’s always going to be a risk that people will share the information. But that’s certainly not something our plugins could help with.
Does that make sense?

ParticipantConsider it disregarded, thisismarc. 🙂
Glad you figured it out.

December 4, 2013 at 5:42 pm in reply to: Can't use WPEngines staging because we don't have a second install… #80243Julie Kuehl
ParticipantIf the staging site is where you want to install and test the latest versions, then I would leave the license key attached to that site. Once you verify that everything’s working to your satisfaction, then you can push to live and have that install be the one without the license. That would prevent accidentally auto-updating on the live site – and that could be a good thing!
As far as the Eventbrite plugin goes, as long as you don’t have people trying to purchase tickets off the staging site you’ll be fine. I would think you’d want to restrict access to the staging site anyway.
Does that answer your questions?
