    Hi wheretoplaygames,

Glad you were successful! Regarding your idea to be able to filter by state, it’s something that’s been mentioned before and that we’re looking into. When you have feature ideas, it’s really helpful if you can add them over at our Feature Ideas (https://tribe.uservoice.com/forums/195723-feature-ideas) page. It’s helpful if you search first to see if you’re feature has been mentioned already. If it has, throw some of your votes it’s way. If nothing’s there, then feel free to add it to the list. That’s how it gets on our radar for development.

By the way if you have a minute or two, we will love it if you can write a few words for us here : http://wordpress.org/support/view/plugin-reviews/the-events-calendar?filter=5

    Thanks in advance. πŸ™‚

    Hi darrenortsman,

You don’t have to buy a second license. You can use the plugin on both domains and use the license on whichever one you choose. BUT, the one without the license will not have the auto-update feature. You’ll have to manually upload and install updates there. As long as you have one active license though, you can grab those files from the Account Central > Downloads link that you see at the top of the Forums pages. And you’ll still have support here in the forums as well.

    Does that make sense?

    Hi icbomber38,

It looks like on your Home page, that link is styled as the page header, whereas on the calendar page it’s styled as a breadcrumb. You might want to just change up the CSS on your breadcrumbs to make it look like the page header.

    Does that make sense?

    Hi psasser,

I see what you mean and the information regarding recurring / non-recurring events is helpful. I have heard of this before and am going to log it as a bug. Hang tight while we look into the situation!

    Hi dotwongdotcom,

I do believe that the events are related based on their category. And the ability to search by state isn’t something the plugin can currently do. The good news though is that it is something currently under review, so we’re looking into making that a reality. If you’d like, you could add your votes to that feature over at our Feature Ideas page (https://tribe.uservoice.com/forums/195723-feature-ideas).

    Hi zacheryh,

When I go to your site it looks like you currently have the widget in list view, which does show the upcoming events, whenever they might be. The calendar is designed to work the way you described, it shows the current month, without or without events. To change that would require customization which is something that we can’t support. However, if you want to take it on yourself, you’ll probably find our Documentation (http://docs.tri.be/) helpful.

    Does that make sense?

    Hi philmacaulay,

I am terribly sorry for that. We are working out the bugs in some new support tools and it looks like that thread was affected by it. I’ll get someone on it right away.

    Hi paleosavvy,

The customer recurrence feature allows you to set up something other than mere daily, weekly, or monthly recurrence. For instance, your example of every 10 days might look like this http://d.pr/i/V05J. The description box is just that, a place for you to describe the recurrence, 10-day Schedule in this case. Custom recurrences can also be used for things like Mon-Wed-Fri at 6am workouts. However, as it currently stands, the plugin is not designed to handle irregular recurrences like Mon at 10am and Thurs at 3pm.

    Does that help?

And homemade bangers sound lovely. πŸ™‚

    Hi Scott,

Regarding the fix for that bug, it is a high priority and we are doing our best to squash it. It will likely be addressed in an upcoming maintenance release, but I do not have an exact date for that.

As far as the license key goes, you should be able to purchase a Personal license for one site and simply swap out the license key. It should be pretty painless

    Does that answer your questions?

    Hi innonotion,

Thank you for your questions. Since we have expanded our ticketing offerings, we’re in the process of putting together a comparison chart of some sort to help make these decisions. Since that’s not available yet, and I’m most familiar with Woo Commerce Tickets and EDD Tickets since they’re been around the longest, I’ll concentrate my answer on them. Just as a general guideline, if you ever plan on selling physical goods, you may want to go with WooCommerce Tickets. If you will only be selling virtual goods (like tickets), EDD may be a good choice. Both are highly respected and should have good compatibility. As far as easy to understand, maybe take a look at the videos on our New User Primers and see what you think. https://theeventscalendar.com/the-events-calendar-for-wordpress-tutorials/#primers

One word of caution though, at the current time neither is set up to handle tickets for recurring events, which you mentioned. That’s something that’s on our radar, but just not available yet.

    Hi Pro Design,

Sorry that you didn’t get a reply on the WP forum, but we try to make it clear that our support there is very limited – only 2 hours per week. If there’s any way that we could communicate that better, please let me know.

To answer your question about resources and performance, like everything, the answer is… it depends. Hosting setups as well as the theme and other plugins can all play into that. But I’ll just give you a link to an existing user’s install and let you see what you think. http://events.boisestate.edu/events/2014-01/ There’s nothing special about that site, it’s just the most recent one I went to, so I’m considering it a proxy for “average”.

Do you have a specific concern that I can address?

    Hi Eric,

We do support recurring events as long as those events have a regular schedule such as Monday 3-5pm or Tuesday and Thursday 10am-12pm. The plugin currently can’t handle irregular recurring events (such as Tuesday at 10am and Thursday at 2pm), but it is something we are looking into. And certainly you can have multiple events happening on one day. I’ve looked for an example for you, but I’m coming up kind of dry. You can check out http://events.boisestate.edu/events/2014-01/ if you want to see a real calendar in action.

Does that give you enough information? Also, have you seen our New User Primer https://theeventscalendar.com/support/documentation/events-calendar-pro-new-user-primer/? That has some info on the recurring event feature as well.

    Hi francois,

I’m sorry, but we don’t currently offer bundle pricing. We hope you see the value in each of our plugins and that they provide enough features for you to justify their cost.

    Hi russkeys,

I haven’t seen other reports of that, so I don’t think it’s a known error.

Can you look in your backend and find the event, say the one on Feb 6th, and let me know what the permalink should be for the event? I can see what it’s trying to link to, but I’m not sure what the correct URL is supposed to be. Also, you did change the permalinks under Settings > Permalinks to the Post Name option, right?

    Hi Tracy,

When it comes to the Eventbrite Tickets, nearly everything is handled by the Eventbrite service. If you can sell tickets on Eventbrite in two currencies, I would think that you’d be able to. However, one thing of note, when creating the ticket in our plugin, it does ask for a cost, which doesn’t have a currency attached to it. http://d.pr/i/dOp8 I would check out what Eventbrite has to say about it.

I’d love to hear what you find out.
