ParticipantHello Diane,
Try using “tribe_events_cat” instead of “event-categories” for the taxonomy and see if that fixes the issue.
Thanks!

ParticipantHey jenunderscore,
Thanks for the clarification!
Would it be possible to run a check on the events associated with the events in the cart to see if the additional fields are required on the checkout page? This would require custom development and is beyond the scope of support here but maybe an idea that can help point you in the right direction.
Overall, this is a good idea for functionality. If you would like, you can request this feature for our developers to consider on our UserVoice page.
I’m going to go ahead and close this ticket, if anyone on this thread has further questions please don’t hesitate to open a new ticket.
Thanks!

ParticipantHello aiabaltimore,
That is strange. I’ve tested again with the code provided in the gist and it seems to work even with ‘2014-10’ set manually within the code.
Unfortunately, since this is a customization there isn’t a whole lot I am able to do for you here within the scope of support. One other thing that I would suggest though is that if you’re want to get the events of a specific month, you could run a custom WP_Query to get the desired events.
I’m sorry I’m not able to give you a direct answer but hopefully this helps. I’ll go ahead and close this ticket but if you have any further questions please don’t hesitate to open a new one.
Thanks!

ParticipantHello Margaret,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
This is definitely a strange issue to be having. It sounds like you’ve followed the automatic updates for WordPress to 4.0 as well as the free version of The Events Calendar to version 3.7? If so, you will also need to upgrade the Pro version of our plugin up to version 3.7. You should see a prompt to upgrade to the latest version if you have your License Key added to the site. Ensure that your key is added by navigating to the “Events Settings” -> “Licenses” tab on the backend of your site.
Once added, you can check for updates again ( “Dashboard” -> “Updates” ) and you should see an upgrade prompt for the latest version of the Pro plugin.
Let me know if this helps.
Thanks!

ParticipantHello Diane,

You can add the code you need to the single event template by following the instructions within our Themer’s Guide. You can copy the “single-event.php” file into your child theme using the instructions from the guide ( would copy to ‘wp-content/your-theme/tribe-events/single-event.php’) .
Then, under the header there you could use the “has_term” WordPress conditional to check to see if this event is assigned to your desired category. If so, you could then display your desired content.
Let me know if this helps.
Thanks!

ParticipantHello aplussideas,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
This is actually a great suggestion and something that we discussed internally as a potential solution to some of the 404 errors. We’ve currently passed on the option of adding this into our core plugin because of the potential for this to be taxing on servers for heavily trafficked sites.
If you would like, you can definitely add your solution here and it will be available for others to use as a reference in the future.
Thanks!

ParticipantHello,
Thanks for reaching out to us.
Since those sections are Custom Post Types, you should be able to use the built-in WordPress export/import feature to migrate all of the content over to the new site.
If you have any further questions on that migration process try posting within our forums on WordPress.org. Unfortunately more detail is beyond the scope of what we’re able to provide here within the Pre-Sales forum.
Thanks!

It sounds like you may be having some strange issues if the wrong month names are being displayed on certain pages. If you don’t mind, could you reply with the credentials to be able to view the site so I can see the issues firsthand? Just mark the response as “private” so it doesn’t show up in the forum thread.
Thanks!

ParticipantHello zacmarcengill,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
That’s a very strange issue to be having. Just to make sure, can you verify that you’ve gone through the Testing for Conflicts procedures to make sure this isn’t a plugin or theme conflict?
Thanks!
Josh
ParticipantHello Tony,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
Have you tried using the GeoMashup plugin to see if it gives you the functionality that you’re looking for?
If that doesn’t quite fit, you could accomplish this with some custom development by using the Google Maps API and set markers based on the latitude and longitude metadata (“_VenueLat”, “_VenueLng” ) that is saved for each event with a venue defined.
I’m sorry I wasn’t able to give you a direct response however I hope these suggestions can point you in the right direction in getting the functionality you need set up.
Let me know if you’re able to get this set up how you’re wanting.
Thanks!
