ParticipantHello Courtney
I have tried 2017 and deactivated plugins
The slug is /events/ and the widget on the homepage is displaying fine.
There is an update but when I try to update I get an internal server error.

Thanks for the reply.
Yes the item on the feature request is exactly what I’m looking for. I have commented and voted accordingly.
I tried the link before posting the query:
but couldn’t get it to filter – it provided past events but no further filtering by category. I wasn’t sure where to find the category id number eg 24 in your link. Could you clarify please?

ParticipantGreat, thanks George

I haven’t been able to look at my install yet but I imagine that the code fix will be at Modern Tribe’s end and you shouldn’t need to do anything

I can’t offer a solution but I came here as I have the same issue. I noted a few other similar responses so I suspect its an unintended ‘feature’ that has been added by Modern Tribe.

ParticipantAny update on this, please?

ParticipantI have done some digging… For my site the problem lies in the postal code. In the widget if postal code is ticked then a ‘1’ appears even though there is a full postal code listed in the event.
I also ticked the ‘organiser’ in the widget (which I don’t normally have ticked) and this didn’t display anything at all even though there is an organiser listed for the event.
So at the moment I have unticked postal code and the ‘1’ has gone away, but this is a fairly vital piece of information.

ParticipantThanks Werner
I was beginning to think that it was just me who had this issue. No reply from Support yet but I’m sure they will say ‘wow’ and make it sound as if I’m lucky to have this ‘1’ !!

ParticipantHi guys
I’ve narrowed down the issue.
For the listview widget I have been changing the single-event.php file (as per your advice) so that the listing shows day, date and month. Up until 4.24 this has worked fine. After updating to 4.24 I did the same line addition as normal and that broke everything. I noticed that on the single-event.php file there is an additional ‘if’ statement above the relevant section…..
Under 4.24 the dates are now formatted as day, date and for following months date, month. I assume that this is intentional, but I would still like to display day, date, month for all dates. Can you advise please?
thanks

Just as a follow up – The padding on subsequent entries has been as it was originally – and that’s without making any changes to the css at all. Interestingly the entry which had the smaller padding still shows with smaller padding – so I don’t really understand how this is happening. However this particular event will pass in a few days so I’m just going to let run out as it is.

If you look at the forthcoming events on the homepage you will see 5 listed. The spacing between the top of the date box (and header text) and the horizontal separator line above is the same on 4 out of 5. On the 19th April event that space is much smaller and it is this event that I added most recently – after upgrading to 4.1.1. The other 4 events were added before.
So basically I need that top padding/margin to be the same after upgrade as it was before.

Ok the “views” folder has moved insider the “src” folder.
You might want to update the post to reflect the revised folder structure.

The solution says….
First, make a copy of the single-event.php template. It’s located at /plugins/events-calendar-pro/views/pro/widgets/modules/single-event.php.
but the folder “views” no longer exists since upgrade. The only folders in /plugins/events-calendar-pro/ are lang, src and vendor.
