ParticipantHi George,
For now, I have rolled back to the previous WordPress version, which ‘fixes’ the issue.
After the upgrade, I had problems with my Gravity Forms plugin as well, which seemed to be caused by my Divi theme. I’m assuming Divi is the cause of the TEC-issues I’m having as well. The issue with the Gravity Forms-form was caused by some possible conflict with JavaScript. As described by the support team: “Because your form uses conditional logic it has an inline style of display:none applied, if your page has any JavaScript issues they can prevent the Gravity Forms scripts from running, and when those scripts can’t run the inline display:none style can’t be removed.” — Maybe this might ring a bell?I am still running on an old Divi theme version, since upgrading from that version causes the whole site to nearly crash/have to be rebuild entirely (as warned by WooThemes before the ugprade).
For now I’ll just keep running the old WordPress version, but I am expecting to have to upgrade Divi at least sometime in the future.
Best regards,
HansBarbara
ParticipantHi there,
You can find old versions of the CORE plugin on the Developer tab here:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/the-events-calendar/developers/Hope this helps! I will delay upgrading the version on my own site for now…

ParticipantHi Shannon,
After upgrading the PRO plugin, it is working fine for me! I have no issues now with setting up the manual recurrence descriptions.
Best regards,
HansBarbara
ParticipantHi Geoff,
There is one thing you could do to help… I’ve got a gut feeling that some language changes were made in the past update (4.05), but I wasn’t the one to make them and can’t find the odd/changed string anywhere in the two glotpress environments…
See https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/40271012/eventscal/page-title-change.png
It now says ‘Evenementen Archief’, even after re-downloading and installing both mo/po files for CORE and PRO. This most definetely wasn’t the case before the upgrade, it was something like “Alle Evenementen” or “All Events”. I can’t find the phrase ‘Archief’ anywhere in the glotpress environment, so I was wondering where this could be coming from.As this might have something to do with the bad translations Bart mentioned, I thought it’d be worth mentioning.

ParticipantHi Nico,
Thanks, adding that snippet did the trick. Looking forward to the fix 🙂Regards,

Participant@George, as one of the Dutch validators this message obviously caused some cringing on my part. I’ll try to look at the wrongly translated strings and fix them where possible. I’ve suggested that Bart should check on having the latest mo/po files, since I have been making quite a lot of changes in the past months and not all TEC-updates include the latest mo/po files 🙂

Groet,
Hans

ParticipantHi guys,
I have just installed the updated patches and all appears to be working fine now, thanks 🙂Hans

ParticipantBirgit,
Very interesting questions, I was struggling with almost all of your reported issues as well.
@Geoff, it appears that the “Scan this QR code at the event to check in” string cannot be found in the translation pages (http://translations.theeventscalendar.com/projects/event-tickets-plus).
All other text in the ticket email is in Dutch, but that last string isn’t.Barbara
ParticipantHi Leah,
I will, thanks! I’ve already found the first couple of wrong translations and fixed those 🙂
Since I’m volunteering at the foundation I mentioned, I have to do this besides my regular job, so don’t expect results too quickly – that said, I’ll try my best to return the courtesy as soon as possible!Best regards,
HansJanuary 10, 2016 at 5:58 am in reply to: Losing custom po/mo files after Events Calendar plugin update #1053350Barbara
ParticipantHi Geoff,
Be advised though… I installed Event Tickets and Event Tickets Plus yesterday and its mo/po files were greatly outdated! A string that was added on October 14 2015 was not included in the mo/po files of the latest update… and I’m sure that Event Tickets 4.04 was definitely released much later than October 14…
Can you please advise the teams to keep the mo/po files updated in each new release/current downloadable versions?
Much appreciated,

ParticipantHi George,
Just to be sure, is this an official GO for changing it to the informal way where needed, or do you still need to wait for a GO from management?Hans

ParticipantHi Leah,
I assume this coupon should only be valid for use for one plugin?I just tried out entering the coupon code for getting the filter bar and the coupon code works there as well. Or is this working as designed?
I mean, it would obviously help having access to all plugins in an active environment to see errors in translations, but I don’t want to take advantage.
Best regards,
HansBarbara

ParticipantHi Geoff,
Since your reply, both 4.03 and 4.04 updates included the updated mo/po files instead of the old ones!
Thanks for your help in fixing this.Hans
