ParticipantHi there,
The Event Countdown widget doesn’t seem to work anymore. It wasn’t working anymore after the Wordpres 4.5 update. After installing the latest TEC core/PRO plugin versions, the issue persisted.
It’s just showing “DD:HH:MM” instead of actual days, hours and minutes.
I have already tried removing the widget and re-adding it from scratch, but no avail, it’s not working.
Is this just me, or are there more people experiencing this issue?
Best regards,
HansApril 14, 2016 at 7:05 am #1102416George
ParticipantSorry to hear this, Hans!
I just tested out the event countdown widget and it works well for me. We have no other reports of this breaking, to boot, so to help us investigate this issue a bit more closely would be able to share your site’s System Information with us?
Here’s how → https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/
I’ll take a look through all of that and see if anything stands out as a possible culprit.
Thank you!

ParticipantHi George,
For now, I have rolled back to the previous WordPress version, which ‘fixes’ the issue.
After the upgrade, I had problems with my Gravity Forms plugin as well, which seemed to be caused by my Divi theme. I’m assuming Divi is the cause of the TEC-issues I’m having as well. The issue with the Gravity Forms-form was caused by some possible conflict with JavaScript. As described by the support team: “Because your form uses conditional logic it has an inline style of display:none applied, if your page has any JavaScript issues they can prevent the Gravity Forms scripts from running, and when those scripts can’t run the inline display:none style can’t be removed.” — Maybe this might ring a bell?I am still running on an old Divi theme version, since upgrading from that version causes the whole site to nearly crash/have to be rebuild entirely (as warned by WooThemes before the ugprade).
For now I’ll just keep running the old WordPress version, but I am expecting to have to upgrade Divi at least sometime in the future.
Best regards,

ParticipantHey Hans,
I appreciate the update. The things you describe about your site indeed seem to apply numerous other issues that are hindering The Events Calendar. This is definitely not normal behavior, for example:
I am still running on an old Divi theme version, since upgrading from that version causes the whole site to nearly crash/have to be rebuild entirely
If you cannot even update your theme because of the fragile broken state of the site, then a plugin like The Events Calendar will indeed have issues too! 🙁
I will close up this thread for now given all of that information you shared. If you resolve ALL of your other issues, get your site to the most recent WordPress version, most recent theme version, all of that—and still have problems with the event countdown widget—then go ahead and open a new thread here about this issue. We’ll take another look.
If you do this, please be sure to post your site’s “system information” with the thread. I linked to this article before, but just to do so again, here’s how to share that information → https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/
Best of luck with your site!
