Thanks for getting back to us!
Yeah, unfortunately Google is trying to get everyone to set up billing.
I was able to get a test site set up using an existing API credential. Here’s what I did.
- Go to Google Console → https://console.cloud.google.com/
- As long as you have an existing project, it should take you to the project, if not click on the project name.
- Then click APIs & Services
- Then Credentials — on this page, copy your server key
From here, let’s make sure that the correct API’s are active. Click on Library on the left sidebar. Under Maps, click Maps JavaScript API.
There should be a check green check that says API enabled. If it’s not enabled, click manage and from there, you should be able to enable.
Hope that helps!
EdwardMemberSure!
Smart Slider 3 and Meta Slider are among the better free ones.
Slider Revolution is one of the better, well known paid plugins.
Hope that helps!
EdwardMemberThanks for getting back to us.
After you’ve Tested for Conflicts, can you enable WP_DEBUG as well as WP_DEBUG_LOG. This will enable all errors to also be saved to a debug.log log file inside the /wp-content/ directory.
Please also share your share your system information in a private reply.
These steps will help us get rolling and decide why your events are showing out of order.
Cheers,
Ed ✌EdwardMemberHey Seth!
I totally understand that this is not ideal at all. I am witnessing the same behavior that you are describing.
Do you have any custom Tribe templates in place here?
I know that it can be a pain, but Testing for Conflicts resolves many issues that are cause by conflicting themes and/or plugins.
Take care,

Thanks for reaching out — sorry to hear that you are experiencing difficulties.
We’ve had some issues with styles since last update, a couple things have broken. Kudos for getting the temp solution, I’ll dig into this a bit and see if I can determine if this is related to that style bug.
Talk to you soon!
Ed ✌️EdwardMemberSorry about that! I’ll flag it so we can get that fixed. I also want to apologize about the delayed reply, I’ve been out for a bit.
Have you tried to follow Google’s tutorials? I know that they are pretty tough to follow → https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/get-api-key
You want to make sure that you enable Maps JavaScript API.
Take care,
Ed ✌️EdwardMemberThis could indeed be a jQuery issue…Do you have custom templates in place with this theme?
Unfortunately sometimes when code standards change and deprecation comes into play, things can break.
I’m not sure if reaching out to the theme developer would be an option, but sadly might be the best course of action.

Yes, after the extension is installed, you can manually generate your codes with the PDF ticket link below each RSVP. Note the screenshot on our PDF tickets page → https://theeventscalendar.com/extensions/pdf-tickets/

Ed ✌️EdwardMemberHey there,
Sorry to hear that you are experiencing difficulties!
When you say that the update “crashed” the site, what do you mean? Did the site go offline, white-screen or the plugin just failed to update?
Please follow our guide for manual update -> https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/manual-updates/
Once you have successfully updated, you should be good to go!
Take care,
EdEdwardMemberHey there DK!
Thanks for your interest in our products.
Just like a normal post, only one featured image can be set, but you could technically add an unlimited number of images within the event, or use a third party slider for ease-of-use.
Hope that answers your question!
EdEdwardMemberHi there Chien!
Sorry to hear that you are having problems updating.
Please follow the directions on this knowledge base article that talks about manually updating our plugins -> https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/manual-updates/
Hope that helps!
EdEdwardMemberHey Mary!
Sorry to hear that you are having issues with Google Maps, you indeed are not alone — these API changes have been frustrating for many.
Upon taking a look at the browser console, it’s looking like the API key isn’t properly configured.
Google Maps JavaScript API error: ApiNotActivatedMapError

EdEdwardMemberHey Daniel,
Sorry to hear that you’re having a tough run…
Sometimes issues like these have an easy fix (which hopefully is the case for you)! Simply go to Settings -> Permalinks and click save. There’s no need to change anything here, just saving will flush the permalinks and hopefully have you set to go!
Take care,
EdEdwardMemberHey Jared, thanks for reaching out!
The Events Calendar actually pulls the timezone from what WordPress provides it and can be changed under Settings -> General.
You can also modify how the date is displayed under Events -> Settings -> Display.
Hope that helps you out!

We have a great free extension called PDF tickets that does most of what you are requesting — https://theeventscalendar.com/extensions/pdf-tickets/
I don’t believe that will send a few days before the event, but I’m sure it could be done quickly with a bit of plugin-tweaking.
Hope that helps!
