    Hello Mitchum

I just tried to import you feed onto a test site and got the following error:

The requested source does not have any upcoming and published events matching the search criteria.

Do you have events on this calendar?

Hoping to help narrow this down with you.

    Thanks
    Courtney 🙂

    Hello Steven

It looks like your license expired July 3 of 2016. Since then, we have expanded our event imports primarily into 1 solution that covers more than just Facebook. Take a look at what Event Aggregator can do. It has been available for about a year, and we converted users of our other event plugins into using Event Aggregator since then. We no longer update or support the older plugins.

Do you think this would meet your needs?

    Thanks
    Courtney 🙂

    Hi Tony

Wow, I’m so sorry this bug is impacting you as well. We have a few different Event Aggregator glitches happening this week. I expect you’ll get an update to resolve this within a few days, but can’t officially promise that. I am flagging this thread so that you are notified as soon as the solution is available.

To help us narrow down which bug you may have found, could you try to reschedule your Facebook events imports to be automated? This might resolve the issue.

    Thanks
    Courtney 🙂

    Hello Rory

You’d want to start out with The Events Calendar and Event Tickets. These are the free plugins that are a prerequisite to the other features you want. Event Tickets will provide you with the RSVP functionality.

Community Events will allow for front end submissions.

It sounds as if you may not want or need the features of Events Calendar Pro, but it is worth scanning to see if you’d use any of those, such as recurring events.

Does that help to clarify? Is there anything else I can do to help?

    Thanks

    Hi there Toni!

Thanks so much for getting in touch! I’m afraid that we’re not equipped to provide technical support for current plugin users here in our pre-sales forum. We’d be more than happy to assist you at one of the following locations:

    • If you’re using one or more of our free plugins such as The Events Calendar and Event Tickets, you can request assistance on the WordPress.org support forum for the affected product.
    • If you’re a current license holder for one of our premium offerings, please log in to your account and submit a post to the appropriate forum for the affected product. Please include your System Info https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/ so we can better help you.

If you can, please take the time to confirm in your post that you’ve run through our Testing for Conflicts steps prior to contacting us–this will save us a step and help us to get your issue resolved that much quicker! 🙂

Thanks again, and we’ll see you in the forums!

    Hey there

With Event Aggregator , you can install it on up to 10 domains with a set number of imports combined to run per day based upon your license level. Each site would need it’s own configuration of which things to import.

At time, there is no central interface, but I do like that idea. If you think that is something you would like as a feature I encourage you to visit our User Voice Page and either upvote an existing request or make a new request there.

You can suggest it it http://tribe.uservoice.com.

    Thanks

    Hello Nina

I’m very sorry this is happening to you. We are aware of this bug, and will issue a notice as soon as a solution is available. I would expect that to happen soon, as this is a widespread issue.

As a next step in our troubleshooting process, can you please flush your transients and verify if Event Aggregator works as expected after that?

You can flush your transients using a plugin like Transients Manager or via server, using WP-CLI. You can flush all of your transients (WordPress will repopulate them as necessary), or just the one associated with our plugin: “tribe_aggregator_origins”.

We believe that this transient cached the response from our server informing that your license is still not present/activated in your site, even though it is.

Let me know if this solution works for you and/or if you need anything else in the mean time!

    Thanks
    Courtney 🙂

    Hi Mitchell

Thank you for the follow-up on this. I believe transients deal with approximately 6 hours of memory on your license key combined with a few other security measures. If you find this no longer works, please do send us a message. We are pushing an update out in the near future that will help to address the license validation issue.

    Thanks
    Courtney 🙂

    Hi Mackie

Oh I do sympathize with all the hard work you’ve put in. It sounds like you are at least one step ahead and testing updatings on a staging server. Our maintenance releases are smaller issues with mostly just bug fixes about every 2 weeks. Our roughly monthly feature releases do come with some big changes that we hope improves the experience for our clients and their website visitors. Our last update for Filter Bar was a big one, and added in enough UI improvements that a lot of the code you are referencing has changed.

I have shared your feedback with the lead developer on the latest filter bar release, as well as the head of support staff. Our aim truly is to make a better experience for the majority of our customers. At the very least, your post is a good reminder that we should caution our more technically savvy clients to always handle feature releases on a staging server, especially if they have customized a lot of the design for the front-end.

Please know that we value your input, and will consider it as we issue feature releases for this and our other products in the future.

    Thanks
    Courtney

    Hello Rainer

I’m sorry your having this problem.

There are a few things we can try.

Can you start by going through our Testing for Conflicts Guide https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/testing-for-conflicts/?  I am wondering if you might have a plugin or theme conflict.  Begin by deactivating all other plugins, using a theme such as Twenty Seventeen https://wordpress.org/themes/twentyseventeen/, and see if the issue still persists. Also, double check for any other updates available (Dashboard » Updates).

What you are seeing for the Logo area seems to be related to your theme, and not something I’ve observed before.

Test how your /events page looks when you change these settings: Events » Settings » Display »

Default stylesheet used for events templates

    & Events template.

    display templates

A few more tips to style your site include:

    1. Start by modifying what you can at Appearance » Customize » The Events Calendar.
    2. Typically, don’t change the theme or plugin’s css files, they will be overwritten on updates. To avoid this, follow the steps outlined in Themer’s Guide
    3. Use overriding CSS files, or add CSS to your site using Appearance » Customize » Additional CSS.
    4. Use !important before a semicolon to override every css rule. It’s a brute force method, but works for quick fixes.
    5. Please check out this Customizing WordPress #2 – Using Chrome Developers Tools YouTube video in addition to our Using Chrome Developer Tools tutorial on how to easily make changes using CSS.

Please let me know how you make out with these.

    Thanks
