ParticipantGreat! Glad to hear that got you sorted. I completely agree with your sugegstion. Would you mind suggesting this as a feature on our UserVoice page? http://tribe.uservoice.com/
Thanks!
Casey
ParticipantJen,
You should be able to do this using some Javascript. Try pasting this code into your theme’s functions.php file: https://gist.github.com/ckpicker/6357368Give that a shot and let me know if that gets you on the right track. Thanks!

ParticipantAmy – I’m going to go ahead and move this thread over to the EC PRO forum, where one of our support folks will help you out. Thanks and please stand by!

ParticipantThanks for reaching out! Unfortunately, this isn’t possible without modifying the plugin, which we don’t recommend because your changes will get overwritten next time you update the plugin.
However, as a workaround, you can insert some text above the descriptions using the ‘tribe_events_community_form_before_the_categories’ filter.
Paste the following code into your theme’s functions.php to see how this would work: https://gist.github.com/ckpicker/6346502
Let me know if you have any questions about adding that code. Thanks!

ParticipantTiago,
Do you have anonymous submissions on or off? What is your ‘Default Status for Submitted Events’ set to (Draft, Pending Review, or Published)?
I just want to make sure my settings are identical to yours, so I can attempt to replicate this. Thanks!

ParticipantThanks for confirming that this got you sorted. Unless you disagree, I’m going to mark this thread “Answered” and close it out.
We really appreciate your support and please let us know if you need anything else in the future. If you find yourself with a few minutes and would be so kind as to give us a “Works” rating or a positive star voting on the WordPress.org repo (http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/the-events-calendar/), or even a shoutout to your followers on Facebook or Twitter, it would mean a lot to us. Thanks again for using the plugin.

You can change the ‘col-x’ values if you want to show/hide different columns. Just let me know if this is what you’re looking for.
Thanks!

ParticipantThanks for reaching out and sorry to hear you’re having these issues. Can you confirm your Community settings for me?

ParticipantThanks for the suggestion! I noticed that you also suggested it on our Uservoice page, so I’ll propose this idea for a future release of Community. Of course I can’t make any guarantees as to if/when this functionality might show up, but I’ll keep you posted. Thanks!
Casey
ParticipantYou’ll need to make sure this code is placed between the PHP tags.
Example:
Give that a try and let me know if that does the trick. Thanks!

ParticipantSince everything seems to work properly with the default theme, it sounds like this is an issue with your theme. Unfortunately, we can’t provide support for every theme out there, so my suggestion would be to contact the developer of your theme for support.
We’re definitely happy to work with the developer and answer any questions they may have to help them track down the issue.
Just let me know if you have further questions. Thanks!

ParticipantSorry about that! I think I misunderstood and assumed you wanted those fields to be required. Here’s the modified code: https://gist.github.com/ckpicker/6271981
Let me know if that’s what you’re looking for. Thanks!
