Venues being erased when editng events (twentytwelve) test clean install

Getting Venues erased when editing events by changing venues. It’s a clean install, no upgrade. The test:
1) Added Event “Miles Davis Live” with Venue “Blue Note” from community/add page
Both Event and Venue are created as draft (so far so good)

2) Edit Event “Miles Davis Live: changing the venue to be “Village Vanguard”
“Blue Note” Venue does not exist anymore…

1) Edit Event “Miles Davis Live” with Venue “village Vanguard” from community/edit page
Venue is created again draft, I then change status from draft to publish

2) Edit Event “Miles Davis Live: changing the venue to from “Village Vanguard” to “Blue Note”
“Village Vanguard” id erased and I have a venue called “Blue Note” with slug “Village Vanguard” , no address or any other custom field data saved…

Thanks for reaching out, and hopefully I can help you out here. Was the ‘Blue Note’ venue selected as a ‘Saved Venue’ or was it entered on the Community form as a new venue?

Created all events from the front end creating venues on the fly so ‘Blue Note’ was create when ‘Miles Davis Live’ was created. Doing the steps above could the problem be replicated in your testing? Thanks Casey 🙂

Do you have anonymous submissions on or off?

What is your ‘Default Status for Submitted Events’ set to (Draft, Pending Review, or Published)?

I just want to make sure my settings are identical to yours, so I can attempt to replicate this. Thanks!

We just released a new version of Community, which hopefully fixes this issue. Could you please update your plugins to the latest version and then let me know if you’re still having this issue? Thanks!
