ParticipantThat makes sense. Glad you are finding additional fields useful, but obviously you want to be judicious. We are assessing all outstanding feature requests with each new release, and so your idea will continue to be evaluated periodically. For anyone else coming across this topic and liking the notion, please vote here. Thanks!

ParticipantFor sure. I would like to see it fixed it very soon as well. It is a high priority for us. This particular glitch should not affect your site or databases performance, fortunately.
I have associated this thread with the ticket. Once we fix this we will comment and give you an update. Thanks Peter! Let me know if there is anything more I can do.

September 26, 2014 at 10:31 am in reply to: Showing the first upcoming recurring event in a loop? #768749Brook
ParticipantHowdy jennahoward,
Pardon my delayed response. We do our best to answer questions within 24 hours, but yesterday our staff was stretched too thin.
I think you will be interested in reviewing this short function. Basically it shows what happens ifg the query_var tribeHideRecurrence is set to 1. It adds a bit of SQL to hide all but the first upcoming event. Is that what you are looking for? Are you able to accomplish your goal now? If not, mind elaborating a bit on what you need? Thanks!

ParticipantInteresting usecase. There really is no way to do that. It would seem that event without times are interpreted as all day events. Can you just check that box, then uncheck and specify a time when you have one? You could also add an additional field, something like “Time TBD”? Then set that field to show up until you specify a time. Would that work?

ParticipantHowdy Peter,
I have been seeing something similar. Just yesterday I believe we isolated the problem and will thus be able to fix it natively in an upcoming version.
For me this is happening whenever I activate/deactivate a plugin. So, when you do that process currently it is wise to also go to Permalinks and hit save. Thinking back does that seem like the cause of your problem as well? Obviously this is not something we want you to do every time, and so we will be fixing that. But, we figured this out a little too late in the release cycle. Our next release is already in the soft-freeze state, meaning that it is currently undergoing some thorough testing in preparation for release. So we can not introduce any more changes at this point. The very next release will unfortunately not have a fix for this, it will likely be the one after. In the mean time though, that extra step upon plugin (de)activation should negate the problem
Please let me know if it seems like you are experiencing the same bug. Did that fix work?

ParticipantThanks for the followup. I am more than a little concerned about your bug report and that you seem to have found other experiencing the same problem. Do you mind letting me know if you were using the payment gateway “Test Gateway” or some other one?
I just tried running the latest version of WPEC, WP, Events Calendar, and Events Calendar PRO. I added a ticket to my cart and succesfully purchased it while in a browser had never logged into the site. Then I logged in as a subscriber. I was able to purchase and check out fine. It seems I am wholly unable to reproduce these problems. If you can offer any more details I will continue to dive in, but if you would rather spend your time look at alternate Ecommerce solutions I would not blame you.
Thanks for reporting this. If there is anything I can do let me know. Cheers!

ParticipantHowdy smazzoni,
Thanks for letting me know what you’ve tried. I’m sad that we were not able to fix it. At this point we might be hitting a server resource limit, probably unrelated to query length. But there is one other giant possibility.
Would it be possible for you to test if this is one of the customizations to your site that might be conflicting? This guide will help you test if something is conflicting. If something is, it then walks you through identifying what is conflicting. Once we know that we can work towards a fix. If that does not work, can you try contacting your host to see if you arerunning afoul of any server limits? Or, perhaps copy the site over to a local test server and see if it works there? I realize this is not an option for everyone, but if it is for you it could save a lot of time isolating the problem.

ParticipantI am so sorry! I missed your response yesterday. 🙁
Thanks for trying that. I had high hopes it could be an interim fix. But, since that did not work we are going to have to try and isolate this problem. It is not something I have been able to reproduce on my test sites, which means that is likely something unique to your install. Would it be possible for you to test if this is one the plugins or perhaps your theme that might be conflicting? This guide will help you test for that. If something is conflicting, it then walks you through identifying what. Once we know that we can work towards a fix.

ParticipantThat’s no good! Translation plugins are a bit of a beast, and our plugin has difficulty with qTranslate. We do have a feature request to make the two integrate, but at the moment there is no solution. Throw your votes behind it if you would like to see qTranslate support added: https://tribe.uservoice.com/forums/195723-feature-ideas/suggestions/4015356-integration-with-qtranslate
I wish I had a better solution for you. Ultimately there are a variety of issues between the two plugins, and they just are not compatible. Can you do without qTranslate?

September 25, 2014 at 12:09 am in reply to: Changing Slug on Individual Events Gives 404 Instead of Redirecting #765500Brook
ParticipantHola charrame,
In spite of my living for many months in Central America my Spanish is not good enough to provide tech support. It sounds like you are seeing 404s in more places than this. If that is correct you might be interested in this link: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/documentation/troubleshooting-404-errors/
Either way it sounds like your issue is a little different. Would you mind creating a new topic to address your problem if that link does not help you fix it? Also, if you can speak English it will make communication much easier. Thank you!
