    Howdy Mike,

    That is awesome!

To a reasonable extent you are in luck. Our tickets framework, which is built-in to The Events Calendar, is pretty comprehensive and flexible. We currently support 4 WP Shopping carts: EDD, Woo, WPEC, and Shopp. WPEC tickets is our most recent addition, and the main class file which power nearly the entire plugin (by extending the tickets framework) is only 900 lines of code. There are a handful of other files/classes in that plugin, but they mostly relate to activation and licensing.

Would you be interested in sharing or trading your work on this? Also, our next release, 4.0, features many enhancements and more than a few changes to the tickets framework. Would you be interested in beta testing it so you can gets your hands on the latest code?

    Does that answer your question?

    Cheers!

    Howdy Terresa,

Good question. In the future we would like to add a shortcode which will allow you to embed the entire List View (and other views) into a page. However, we are not there yet. In the mean time you can use the current list widget short code which will embed a customizable list of events into another page. It will show each event title and link to the event, but it will not include the event descriptions. Would that work for you?

    Cheers!

    Howdy Tommy,

I would love to help you figure this out. I wonder if it is related to the recent Avada update? They styled a lot of things in The Events Calendar. One of the things they styled was moving the ticket area to a sidebar. Is it possible that due to your configuration or customization the sidebar is not visible in your theme?

If I were you I would also open a topic with Avada’s excellent support. While I will gladly continue helping you here, they might be able to spot the issue quicker as they are the true Avada experts.

    Cheers!

    Howdy  lamar,

Currently our calendar does not support syncing of any sort. It can pull events from Google Calendar and Apple Mail manually via the iCal (.ics) Importer. However it does not truly sync as it can not push events from The Events Calendar to either of those without some manual labor being involved.

    Does that answer your question?

    Cheers!

    Howdy xrossglobalgroup,

It is interesting that you request this feature. One of our developers had the idea a number of months ago, but it has fallen by the way side.

Currently the best solution is one of the ones you listed, Fast forward to the next month with events (click here). This should work if you have future events. But if the events are few and far between, such as one per month, then it will still only show one event as it is limited to a single month.

I just added a feature request to our feature tracker that would cover this problem (click here). As noted in the request it would show a list of the next upcoming events regardless of which month they are in. Thus if you have 5 upcoming events, if they are 1 per month, it would show all 5 of them. If this is something you are interested in then please vote on that feature, or suggest an alternate option.

Does that all make sense and answer your question? Cheers!

    Howdy spireworks,

Sorry for the confusion. You are not overthinking it at all. Upgrading a license extends it for an entire year. So if you are going to upgrade, might as well do it before the renewal and get all the benefits of a renewal!

Please let me know if you have any issues or more questions. Cheers!

    Howdy ets techsupport,

That is good feedback. At the moment there is no way to do what you want. However we do not wish to force folks to network activate the plugin in scenarios where that’s not needed. So I will talk to the developers about crafting a solution for folks like you.

The only thing you need a license for is to receive automatic updated. While you await a permanent solution, you can leave the plugin network deactivated. When you see there is an update available for Events Calendar Pro (which usually coincides with a new version of The Events Calendar) then you could briefly network activate thhe plugin, hit update, then deactivate.

Thanks again for the feedback. Does the above make sense and sound like a workable plan for now?

    Cheers!

so at least in the short term it might be easier for me to include a “See Full Schedule for this Venue” link within the event descriptions themselves.

That would also be possible for sure. Similar to the other solution though you could modify $response[‘markers’]. In this case you would be changing the link instead of the order.

I am sure there must be many Events Calendar users who are using the system to manage calendaring of events repeatedly using the same venues.

You are certainly correct. However you are the first one to notice the bug from what I am seeing. You’re probably not giving yourself enough credit for finding it, this is the sort of thing that can easily go unnoticed by thousands of users for months. In this case this bug might have even existed for years unnoticed.

But just because only one person has noticed it does not mean we will not fix it. We will just have to first fix issues that more than one person has discovered. 🙁

Please let me know if there is something more I can do. Cheers!

    Howdy Leo,

Thanks for taking the time to reach out. I appreciate your bringing an old tutorial to our attention. However that tutorial actually is up-to-date. It was updated just last month, and I just retested the steps it outlines and they do work.

If you need help customizing it do selectively show those links for some events or categories, then you can definitely get some help. If you have a pro license then please open up a topic here in our support forum (as opposed ot the pre-sales). Or, if you don’t have a license the the volunteer community on WordPress.org: The Events Calendar would still be available.

    Does that all make sense?

    Cheers!

    Howdy John,

That is an awesome idea. I can see how it would help those managing a room based service. Our Calendar does not currently have those capabilities. For one that would be a pretty customized version of weekview. And secondly it does not yet support a good way to differentiate between different iCal feeds.

It is highly customizable though, and with a decent knowledge of PHP you could certainly build those features atop the calendar using what s already in place. But, that will no doubt take a chunk of hours for development time.

    Does that answer your question?

    Cheers!

I am happt the information helped Abigail. We truly appreciate your reporting this.

Let me describe what is causing the error. The Map contains a marker for every event listed underneath it. You only see one marker for a given venue when it has multiple events. However, that’s because it is laid over top of every other marker for that venue. The futurest event from now is the last marker added, and so it is on top.

    There are two options:

    1. Hide duplicate markers for a venue, and only show the first one.
    2. Reverse the order of the markers so that the one coming up the soonest is the last one added, and thus appears on top.

To do either of those you can filter the output of those markers with the WP Filter ‘tribe_events_ajax_response’. That filter passes one variable named $response. $response[‘markers’] contains all of the map markers, so you can reverse the order or delete duplicates from there. Of course this will require a decent bit of PHP knowledge to do. If that does not describe you, then unfortunately there is not much that can be done right now to fix this aside form wait for us to officially patch it.

Does that answer everything for you?

    Cheers!

That’s a cool addition Karly. It is not something we are working on as we have not yet seen any users request it.

That said, if you guys are developing this feature and interested in sharing it as a pull request on our Github repo, we might be able to give you a license or more in exchange for sharing. Basically if our strategist feels the submitted code is a good fit for our codebase, we will give you a license or two for your site.

Let me know if there is anything else. Cheers!

    Howdy Global,

Did you open a second thread perchance? I just got this exact same question. 🙂

A refund is certainly possible. To get a refund you would need to email support @ this website. Or I could do you even one better. With your permission I could add a license to Filter Bar to your account, and deactivate the current Events Calendar Pro one which effectively gives you an exchange. Would that be easiest for you?

    Cheers!
