ParticipantHi, kg4izp. Unfortunately, our support forum is not setup for that kind of posting.
Did you try to use the steps that I linked to in our Themer’s Guide? Was there a particular place that you got stuck?
If you’re keen on having someone else take care of it for you, you’re more than welcome to email us at [email protected], and we can shoot you our current list of suggested developers. I’m sure one of them would be able to get you sorted in no time flat.
Please let me know if there’s anything else I can do to help! ๐

ParticipantHi, mending. Your English is outstanding. I never would have guessed!
I think you describe the issue very well above. You might just tweak is slightly to be a bit more generic. Perhaps, something like: “It would be great to have an option to set The Events Calendar to “fast forward” to the date range of the next upcoming (future) event rather than showing โno eventsโ for the current day/week/month.” Does that accurately represent what you’re suggesting? ๐

ParticipantHi, themavinsgroup. Great question! ๐ I definitely see what you’re getting at.
First, you’ll want to check out our Themer’s Guide, linked in the sidebar. That will show you the steps to override the templates used for TEC and the associated add-ons. To change the arrangement of this data, you’ll particularly want to check out the single-event.php in the events plugin folder.
The elements of the event are described in lines 49-67. The “description” is in the part labeled “Event content”, and the “details” are in the part labeled “Event meta”. If you rearrange those sections in an overridden template, you should be able to see the order change.
Hope that helps get you what you need. Please let me know if any part of that doesn’t make sense. ๐

ParticipantHi, andrianasantiago. Great question! ๐
It’s hard for me to troubleshoot without being able to see some examples. Did the behavior persist when you deactivated all other plugins and changed your theme to a default WP one like Twenty Twelve?
Also, have you had a chance to install WooCommerce on your site?
We’ll do our best to get you back in business as quick as possible! ๐

ParticipantHi, irishrunner16. Great question! ๐
You should use the Category name (not the slug) and multiple categories should be separated by a comma only (no space). Here’s an example:ย https://cloudup.com/ckzBwbOI1b5
Please let me know if you have any other questions about the importer!

ParticipantHi, roosites. Great question! ๐
While that’s an excellent idea for an additional feature,ย this is, admittedly, a bit outside the scope of support that we can provide here on the forums. While we are definitely able to help people with simple tweaks when they arise, writing a chunk of code like this is unfortunately a bigger task than we’ve got bandwidth and as a result the best we can offer up is to try and point you in the right direction towards our Technical Documentation and our Themer’s Guide. It might be worth looking for a freelance developer on WordPress’ Jobs board of Freelance Switch, if you’re in a pinch.
If you do decide to pursue this on your own, please feel free to come back if you get stuck on a particular piece of the puzzle. We’re always happy to make sure you stay pointed in the right direction.
Also, if you have the time, we’d very grateful for your feature suggestions onย our UserVoice page. New features are prioritized based on the response they receive from the community there.
Thanks!

ParticipantHi again, Lindsay! ๐
For now, there is not a way to have Eventbrite Tickets show that information on your website. That is a fantastic feature idea! Would you mind suggesting it on our User Voice page? We prioritize features based on the response they receive from the community there.
Thanks!

ParticipantHi, Lindsay. Great question! ๐
I just took a quick look at your site, and I couldn’t find any examples like you describe. Would you mind sharing with me the URLs for an event on your site and on Eventbrite where this is happening?
Thanks!
Kelly
ParticipantMy pleasure, columinate! ๐ That’s what we’re here for!
By the way, if you have a minute or two, we will love it if you would write a few words for us here:

ParticipantHi, winterf. Great question! ๐ (And, snorton, thanks for your help!)
Unfortunately, beyond the tweaking offered in the FAQ that snorton shared, pretty much all the date information in the row and column labels (as well as the ordinal suffix) on the Week View is hardcoded. As it stands, there’s not really anything that you can do to fix it.
We are fully aware that this is not a great solution for our international users, andย we are actively looking into making the parts of TEC like the Week View more international friendly. We appreciate your patience while we work through this.

ParticipantHi, adventureweb. Great question! ๐
This behavior is commonly caused by a dependency that we introduced in 3.4. Basically, your theme is missing body_class(). So, typically in your theme’s header.php template, the tag
<body>
needs to become
<body <?php body_class() ?>>
Then, your site should work just fine with 3.4. ๐
Please give that a go and let us know how it works for you. Thanks!

ParticipantSorry about that, Dave! Apparently the forum choked on the code in my reply. Oops!
I’ve edited that response to make it readable. Can you see it now?

ParticipantHi, funinjerusalem. Great question! ๐
It looks like you may be using some kind of third-party plugin to add that functionality to posts. Because TEC uses custom post types, the developer would need to extend that functionality to CPTs.
Admittedly, it looks like this is a bit outside the scope of support that we can provide here on the forums. While we are definitely able to help people with simple tweaks when they arise, something like this would beย on the developer of that third-party plugin to provide a way to extend it to custom post types like our events,ย and as a result, the best we can offer up is to try and point you in the right direction towards our Technical Documentation and the Themer’s Guide. If your developer isn’t able to assist, it might be worth looking for a freelance developer on WordPress’ Jobs board of Freelance Switch, if you’re in a pinch. Apologies that we couldn’t offer up more and thanks.
Sorry I can’t be of more help!

ParticipantHi, lvnilesh. I’m sorry for the confusion. Let me see if I can clarify things for you. ๐
In the Eventbrite system, there are two distinct places to edit organizer info: the individual event editing screen and the Organizer Profileย page (linked from “My Profile”). The place to edit the content if you want it to “stick” is on the Organizer Profile page.
If the Eventbrite organizer has no description configured in on their Organizer Profile page, then The Events Calendar attempts to insert information there. If there is existing content in the “About the organizer” field on the Organizer Profile page, then it is respected.
Is it possible that you were editing the field in the event editing screen on Eventbrite? That would explain the data being overwritten.
