Is there a way that I can move the event details (venue, organizer, URL, etc.) either above the description or right after it? I use the plugin nRelate and it appears after the event description and before the event details (see example: http://www.themavinsgroup.com/event/grieving-101-the-long-journey-and-how-we-can-help/). I think it’s confusing to people who may not scroll down far enough to realize the location, organizer, etc. are way down on the page. It looks like that information’s been omitted.

Hi, themavinsgroup. Great question! 🙂 I definitely see what you’re getting at.

First, you’ll want to check out our Themer’s Guide, linked in the sidebar. That will show you the steps to override the templates used for TEC and the associated add-ons. To change the arrangement of this data, you’ll particularly want to check out the single-event.php in the events plugin folder.

The elements of the event are described in lines 49-67. The “description” is in the part labeled “Event content”, and the “details” are in the part labeled “Event meta”. If you rearrange those sections in an overridden template, you should be able to see the order change.

Hope that helps get you what you need. Please let me know if any part of that doesn’t make sense. 🙂

Hi, themavinsgroup. As it’s been a couple of weeks now, I’m going to close this thread. Please start a new topic if you’d like to pursue this further.

Thanks for being a TEC user! 🙂
