ParticipantGood questions, Brad. It should go in the functions.php for your theme.

ParticipantHi, Brad! That’s really puzzling then. Other users have reported success, so I’m not sure what’s going on.
I know it may be redundant, but would you mind trying to copy and paste the code from here: https://theeventscalendar.com/upcoming-events-in-title-fix/ ?
If that doesn’t resolve your issue, I’m not sure what to tell you. The fix will be rolled into an upcoming release, but I can’t guarantee the time frame for that.

ParticipantFantastic! Thank you, Steven!
Since you’re all set, I’m going to go ahead and close this thread. Please start a new topic if anything else comes up!

ParticipantHi, milcms. It looks like I spoke out of turn there.
Upon discussing this with our dev team, it’s apparent that we’ll need to tweak our code to make this accessible for you. We’re interested in making that happen, but, unfortunately, it’s too late for the release that’s due out in a matter of days. It should make it into a future release though.
I’m sorry I don’t have better news for you. Thanks for the letting us know how TEC can be of more value to you!

ParticipantHi, conwin. It looks like you may be conflating two different answers and that’s causing the issue.
Please try only using the gist here: https://gist.github.com/MZAWeb/d18252e91b6328abbf93 (without the opening “<?php" tag).
That should do the trick.

ParticipantLooking again, I see there was one curly quotation mark that I missed right where you say it had trouble.
If you make sure that’s fixed, hopefully everything will fall into place.
Kelly
ParticipantHi, Steven. I’m sorry, but a colleague noticed that there were curly quotation marks in my original pastebin excerpt. Would you mind trying one more time?
Sorry for the hassle!
Kelly
ParticipantHi there, folks. I’m sorry to hear that you’re having this issue.
Unfortunately, there is no pat answer for something like this, so if you wouldn’t mind, nysci, I’d appreciate it if you’d start a separate topic. That way we can troubleshoot each of you individually.
That said, the most common reason for something like this is that the Eventbrite API User Key under the Eventbrite User Account heading in the User Profile of the user creating/editing the event is missing or incorrect.
Please note that this is absolutely critical for the add-on to function. We are working on changing the location so that it’s less esoteric and user-specific, but for now it is imperative that all users editing events associated with an Eventbrite event have that User Key in their profiles.
Assuming that’s not the issue, we need to start by testing in the default Twenty Eleven or Twenty Twelve theme with all other plugins disabled and move up from there.
glsscouts, I’ve never heard of the Mac vs. Windows issue before. Which browser(s) are you using?
Thanks!
Kelly
ParticipantHi, stevenmilstein. I think we’re getting a little far afield now.
If you don’t mind, let’s backup to your first post. Looking again, I see that there are several backslashes there that actually don’t belong. Please use this code and make sure that no backslashes carry over when pasting into your file:
That should do the trick.

ParticipantHi, Renee. This sounds really frustrating.
We just had a similar thread on the WP.org forums, and the culprit there was another plugin that set up a script that plays with the datepicker but didn’t constrain it to only their admin pages. Here it is, in case it’s of interest: http://wordpress.org/support/topic/new-entries-changing-date-to-111970?replies=9#post-4665992
So, my advice would be to try disabling your other plugins one by one until you determine which is the culprit. Once there, you’re probably best off getting in touch with that plugin’s developer. If you’d like help once you’re having a conversation with them, we’re happy to answer any questions they may have.
Hope that helps!

ParticipantHi, Brad. I’m sorry you’re having trouble with the gist.
Just to check, did you make sure to remove the opening php tag (“<?php") before including it? That could cause a fatal error.
Hope that helps!

ParticipantHi, Ballroom Dance Teachers College. I’m sorry to hear that you’re still having issues.
I have checked in with our dev team and confirmed that this is the fix for the issue that cforge brought up: https://gist.github.com/windfarm/6225952 We don’t have a timeline on when this will be rolled into a release.
Since it looks like cforge is set for now, I’m going to close this thread. If you are still having issues, please start a new topic so that we can troubleshoot them there.
Thanks!
Kelly
ParticipantMy pleasure, Mark. Please start a new topic if anything else comes up. We’re always happy to help!
Kelly
ParticipantHi, Mark. I’m so glad to hear that resolved your issue.
As far as other plugins go, I don’t have experience with any other gallery plugins. I will say that we don’t know of any that have problems as big as NextGEN. If you do find one that is a fair replacement, I’m sure that our user community would appreciate you posting about it on the forum.
Is there anything else I can help you with before closing the thread?
