ParticipantCan do! But can you just let us know where we should physically upload copies of our themes? Is there a form on this website’s forum or something?
Thanks,
Brad

ParticipantHi there guys,
My bad for not getting back sooner. We found some code in Calendar we believe is causing this. We’re gonna fix it for next version 🙂

ParticipantHi guys! We just got a snippet that looks like it should resolve the issue for the time being, until we get a fix rolled into the official release:
https://gist.github.com/jazbek/6597658
Please check it out, and let us know if that’s helpful. We really appreciate your patience while we worked through this!

ParticipantThanks for this Kelly.
However, where should this temporary fix code be placed? The style sheet? Somewhere in the body of the events calendar plugin?
Let me know and thanks!

ParticipantHi, Brad. Sorry for not being clear.
The snippet should go in your functions.php file.
Please let us know how it goes!

ParticipantHi Kelly!
Thanks for the code fix. Unfortunately when I put it in the functions.php file, I get the white screen of death anywhere on my admin pages 🙁
So that’s a no-go for now for me. I don’t know if other people experience the same thing on their sites or not. But I am also a patient person and will be content with waiting for an official plugin update if need be 🙂
Either way, just thought I’d let you know.
Thanks,
Brad

ParticipantHi, Brad. I’m sorry you’re having trouble with the gist.
Just to check, did you make sure to remove the opening php tag (“<?php") before including it? That could cause a fatal error.
Hope that helps!

ParticipantHi Kelly!
Yeah, I tried it both with and without the php tag. Either way I had the same issue :/

ParticipantHi, Brad! That’s really puzzling then. Other users have reported success, so I’m not sure what’s going on.
I know it may be redundant, but would you mind trying to copy and paste the code from here: https://theeventscalendar.com/upcoming-events-in-title-fix/ ?
If that doesn’t resolve your issue, I’m not sure what to tell you. The fix will be rolled into an upcoming release, but I can’t guarantee the time frame for that.

ParticipantPerhaps this is part of the solution…
which functions.php file should it go into? The functions.php that appears in the wp-includes folder? or the functions.php file specific to the theme folder I’m using?

ParticipantGood questions, Brad. It should go in the functions.php for your theme.
September 20, 2013 at 12:35 pm #67055bgbaron89
ParticipantAnd that solved the issue completely! Thanks!
I imagine if the newest version of Events Calendar fixes this when its released, this code can be then removed.
But thanks in the meantime!

ParticipantHi, Brad. I’m so glad we finally got this licked!
If you see in the release notes that it’s been fixed, you can definitely remove the snippet. Thanks for asking!
