Hi dostie, that’s understandable: what I can tell you is that the text reading (No title) is generated by your theme rather than by our plugins.

Possibilities for changing this include modifying one or more of your theme’s templates (which you might do safely by creating a child theme or otherwise following the theme vendor’s recommendations for customizations) or, possibly, working with filters to remove that text.

This isn’t something that crops up with most themes so I don’t want to offer you guesswork here as your theme clearly deviates from the norm in this regard – are you able to reply privately with a download link for your theme in .zip format? You might share it either with a service like Dropbox or Droplr, or else by uploading the zip file to your sites media library and sharing the link that way.

    Thanks!

It’s possible your start date, due to its format, is being transformed into the Unix epoch (some time around 1970). Can you instead try using yyyy-mm-dd as the format for your dates?

Are you using the Default Page Template and if so can you try switching to the Default Event Template (visit Events > Settings > Display to do this).

Thanks – and let me know if that does not help.

    Hi Steph,

Unfortunately I’m not going to be able to replicate the work we previously did for 2.0.11 (in terms of customizing your theme) again for 3.0. It is slightly more involved this time round and we’ve already spent a considerable amount of time working with you to customize things last time round.

Right now especially we have high demand for support and we can’t realistically devote large amounts of time to customizations like this, especially as it actually looks pretty presentable to me with your theme without any further customizations.

To return for a moment to the title of this thread:

First Event title shows instead of wanted Page Title

That is not what I experience if I set up your theme with the latest versions of The Events Calendar and Events Calendar PRO, it simply displays Upcoming Events or else an indication of the date range being viewed, which is as expected.

Could anything else be interfering in your case?

Hi wanderingwarriors – at this time it is logged as a feature request and the team will consider it for a future version.

That’s something I would have to leave to your discretion.

We typically suggest people add snippets to their theme’s functions.php file simply because that is least confusing for those who are unfamiliar with the workings of WordPress and indeed PHP.

However, adding it in a child theme, whether directly in the child theme’s functions.php file or some more compartmentalized location – or even housing your work in a plugin of its own – could arguably be better.

Indeed – in fact I should make you aware that we were discussing this and it is very likely that the next release will include a change where overrides for WooTickets should be placed in:

    [your-theme]/tribe-events/wootickets/…

As per the themer’s guide – so that’s something to look out for, and that will also bring WooTickets into line with our other plugins.

The forum doesn’t handle various symbols or code very nicely – it is often easier to use a service such as Pastebin or Gist to share things.

You can however write a < symbol by entering < and a > symbol by entering > (if you really want to!).

    Hi!

The title at the top ROBERT WILLIAMS MR. BITCHIN’ how do I remove that? I don’t know how it got there.

I have no idea how that text got there either, certainly if you’re finding it is beyond your control and isn’t so far as you know something one of your plugins or your theme is designed to put in place as a placeholder it could be that your site has been infected with malicious code.

If that’s so you should seek the help of a developer or security specialist, or even just try one of the many security plugins that are available to help with this sort of situation.

There are events on my calendar that I cant find in the admin>all events page. If you go to the August page, it shows Raiders of The Lost Ark is playing for almost a week. This event isnt even in my events listing to remove.

Is it possible you are filtering the list of events (when you view them in the admin environment)? You could try hitting the Clear button from within the Filters & Columns meta box that displays above the list.
