When I hit the browser back button the ajax is not disabled even after using the disable ajax box. When you use the back button it fetches all categories and is not based on the URL. It just ajax loads every single event. Please help =(

Can you confirm which option you are referring to? If it is the one labelled Enable ajax to live refresh content then that only affects the process of automatically updating the list of events when you add terms to the events bar.

How can I resolve the issue of a browser back button showing the unfiltered calendar? When someone clicks on a link I have it set to a filtered calendar by category. That part works great. But if someone opens an event and then clicks back, they are shown an unfiltered calendar with everything on it. That is a disaster for me.

I guess it depends on how you are accomplishing the filtering 🙂 . Can you share any details?

On my site I sell online classes to two different regions in the world: North American and Europe West. The events I set up are categorized under these two regions. On my site, a user selects lessons from one of these regions by clicking on one of the following links:
    1) http://esportsuni.com/lessons/category/na-lol-lessons/month/
    2) http://esportsuni.com/lessons/category/euw-lol-lessons/month/

That part works great. A site visitor is only shown a calendar with events for each respective category.

The problem is that if someone clicks on an event on the calendar and then hits the back button on their browser, the entire unfiltered calendar is displayed. So results aren’t filtered by category anymore and that person can now see classes for both NA and EUW. That is a huge mess.

If I visit http://esportsuni.com/lessons/category/na-lol-lessons/month/ I of course see events belonging to that category.

If I pick one (for example http://esportsuni.com/lesson/7-25-pige0n/) I then go to the single event view for that event.

If I then hit my browser’s back button I return to http://esportsuni.com/lessons/category/na-lol-lessons/month/ and again only see event from that category.

So I’m not sure why you are experiencing what you are experiencing, but it’s not something I can replicate. What browser are you using? Have you tried a different browser and is the experience the same?

You are right. I am using Chrome and it only happens in Chrome (maybe Safari but I don’t have a Mac to test that with). It appears to be a problem specific to Chrome. Can this be resolved?

You’re right – I can see this in Chrome and Firefox. Definitely seems like a bug to me, I’ll have this reported and see if we can’t get a fix out there.

About 60% of the visitors to my site use Chrome so I hope this can be fixed quickly. I have to shut down all advertising and promos in the meantime. Thanks for your time and I look forward to seeing this fixed. I really like the plug-in BTW.

Definitely, we’ll try our best – and thank you for the kind comment about our plugin 🙂

Is there any way to stay updated on this fix? I have to find another solution if this can’t be resolved soon. My business is on hold because I display all services on the calendar. Thanks

    Hi esportsuni,

The best way to stay updated on new releases, including bug fixes like this, is to subscribe to our newsletter using the text field at the bottom of this page. We are hoping to have this included in an upcoming maintenance release, although I can’t give you an exact date. I apologize for the inconvenience. If you are interested in downgrading back to 2.0.11 so your site is working until we fix this, you can go here to get started. Thanks for your patience and understanding.

    Best,
    Leah

Hi everyone, I just wanted you to know we’ve been hard at work and improvements to address some of the concerns you’ve raised here should roll out with the next maintenance release over the next week or so.

Thanks as always for your continued support and patience: the fix should arrive soon!
