MemberThat’s strange and I’m not sure why that would happen. At the point where I captured the iCal feed for instance there was only one entry in there for Omaha Girl Rock, looking like this (I shortened the description):
DTSTART;VALUE=DATE-TIME:20130803T183000
DTEND;VALUE=DATE-TIME:20130804T020000
DTSTAMP:20130729T224817

SUMMARY:Omaha Girls Rock
DESCRIPTION:The Showcase will feature one original song ...
LOCATION:
URL:http://theslowdown.com/event/omaha-girls-rock/Exactly why that would cause two entries is a bit of a mystery. What I can do if you bear with me is ask a colleague with iCal to test this out on their system.

MemberSorry for the delay getting back to you Nini – instead of tribe_get_event_link() they are using tribe_event_link() which also prints out the link.
In the first instance can you try replacing that (and echoing) tribe_get_unslashed_event_link()?

MemberSorry for the delay everyone, it’s been a busy time and we’ve been snowed under with support requests.
@Noel: if you need help removing the sidebar from certain event related pages please just create a new thread and one of the team will be happy to help if they can 🙂
@Sherwin: I believe the first snippet Cynthia shared would go in your functions.php file – the second would go in your index.php or home.php template in place of wherever your other content would go.
I’m afraid I can’t be much more specific than that simply because every theme is different. It definitely does require a little WordPress/PHP development know-how to make changes like this.

MemberHi Kyle,
Sorry for the delay – I missed your last question. If you mean “Find out more” it is in list/single-event.php on or around line 76.
Does that help?
Barry
MemberHi accessrose,
Is it consistently 3hrs before midnight (NYC/east coast time) that you notice this – or is there a different pattern – just so we can try to observe?
Sorry also for the delay, we have recently been snowed in with support requests and that’s unfortunately lengthened the time between responses.

MemberSo this is particularly difficult for us to troubleshoot if it is specific to your own user account.
I don’t want to unnecessarily ask you to duplicate troubleshooting steps you conducted earlier, but because there were initially a number of different issues that you listed that may have confused things I just want to be absolutely sure about this:
With only Modern Tribe plugins running – and making sure they are all up-to-date – and a default, unmodified theme running, does the same problem with the recurring event dates in the admin environment occur?
I primarily want to double check this because when I initially asked and clarified if you had done so your replied that, “I did use twenty twelve and I have the SAME issues: recurring events are still showing AND the date does not show on the left hand side of the event name, like it shows on your demo.”
So I’m taking those two problems that persisted to relate to your questions about the Hide From Event Listings setting and the appearance of the calendar/list widget, rather than the issue with dates admin-side. I hope this doesn’t sound pedantic – I don’t mean to be – but I just want to ensure all the bases are checked.
If that is in fact all in order and doesn’t get us any further would it alternatively be viable for you to create a new admin account then switch to using that?

MemberHi Schalk,
If I am understanding you correctly this isn’t a problem with WooCommerce Tickets or even WooCommerce itself – rather it’s a facet of how WooCommerce works.
When you adjust orders (deleting or cancelling for example) the inventory/stock levels are not updated – the philosophy of WooCommerce is if you manually intervene you should manually control inventory, too, and I guess that is to prevent a range of other potential problems.
Does that make sense/sound like a possibility here?

This shouldn’t allow tickets to be selected if they are out of stock – I do notice you are using WP Super Cache though and you need to be careful when using caching solutions on dynamic pages (such as ecommerce related pages).
If you clear the cache does the ticket form at this URL change to show “Out of Stock”?

MemberOK, I definitely appreciate you getting back to me but it’s not quite enough to replicate the problem (and we do not have access to PageLines WhiteHouse Pro – which may or may not be impacting).
If it crops up again and you can point us to an example and/or even provide access to see what’s happening admin-side that would be terrific.
Barry
MemberI’m sorry you feel that way, we’re trying to help but we need to build up a picture of what exactly the problem is – I’m afraid it just isn’t clear at this point. Similarly, to avoid confusion and focus in on specific problems we recommend creating a new thread for each individual problem – the <h2> issue would be one of those and we do that to deliver you the support you need faster, not to impede or delay you.
I also appreciate that it would not be usual to use the Genesis base theme by itself – but from our perspective there could be any number of customizations in a given child theme (I didn’t anyway know which child theme you are using) and so I tested against the base theme only to get a sense of what is and isn’t specific to Genesis itself.
Do you think my event page is a blog post? It is an event. And it is broken.
Please also understand that I’m not fluent in every language in use across our user base and therefore when I visit your site I am missing some cues that might otherwise help me – but I appreciate the clarification.
This did look similar in appearance to a different issue other users have experienced in different circumstances – whereby blog posts showed on their main events page. If that’s not so we can focus on other possibilities.
Can you please provide a link, where I can see your working events page with Genesis theme and the display option is set to default page template?
No, since I tested this locally. However, here is a screenshot taken with the Genesis base theme and default page template in use.
When you selectively quote “It works for me so I am unsure why it’s a problem for you…” – which was only part of that sentence – it does sound unhelpful. But I did go on to add, “Unless perhaps it’s specific to your child theme – is that a possibility?”
I am simply looking for more information (it may not be the child theme at all – it may be something else, a setting or a plugin) in order to replicate this and ultimately give you the help you need 🙂 … if that hasn’t come across then I’m sorry.
Barry
MemberOK. So that isn’t what I see or experience when I visit your site. The links to each of the four instances have the correct date in the URL query:
* eventDate=2013-10-19
* eventDate=2013-10-26
* eventDate=2013-11-09
* eventDate=2013-11-02So we’re both seeing different things which is definitely strange. Have you tried logging in using the account you created for us? If you have/do and see the same problem you already are, can you provide any other details that might be pertinent. Though I’d be surprised to learn this was browser related can you confirm what browser you are using when you login?
Barry
MemberGreat!
Barry
MemberNo problem at all – depending on what you’re comfortable with and how urgently you need to update any affected events you could try the workaround posted here:
tri.be/support/forums/topic/recurring-event-prompt-dims-screen-and-is-unclickable/
But we do hope to get on top of this one ASAP so even if that doesn’t work in your case / isn’t something you’re at home with we’ll hopefully be able to deliver a definitive fix shortly in any case.

MemberHi Jessica,
Apologies for the delay: we’ve been experiencing a lot of demand for support and unfortunately that has made as a touch slower to respond than normal.
This is the first report I’ve heard of performance issues relating directly to the media library and I’m not sure why our plugin would affect this. Are you able to indicate how many images or other media files are currently under management by the WP media library and how many might relate to your events (even if only as a rough estimate)?

MemberHi mavellino18 –
Please note that The Events Calendar Category Colors isn’t an official Modern Tribe plugin and it does have its own support forum which is probably the best place to seek advice:
http://wordpress.org/support/plugin/the-events-calendar-category-colors
Do take the time to post there and Andy or I will help you out if we can (I can see what looks like a straightforward way to iron this out in a future update of the plugin).
In the meantime, if you are happy working with CSS, you could try adding the following to the bottom of your theme’s stylesheet:
body #tribe-events #legend li { display: inline-block } -
