MemberI’m not sure that that (having it installed in a subdirectory) would impact, one of my own test installations lives in a subdirectory and the iCal output works perfectly.
Besides switching to a default, unmodified theme (and thanks for taking the time to do that 🙂 ) do you have any other plugins activated and have you tried deactivating them if so?

MemberHi Sherbert, this could be compounded by the fact that you are using default or ‘ugly’ permalinks. If you are able to do so, can you enable ‘pretty’ permalinks and see if that makes any difference here?

Thanks!

MemberThanks, I can see that now. So to counter this can you try adding the following rule (either to some suitable place your theme makes available for custom CSS, or else follow the steps in our Themer’s Guide for setting up a tribe-events.css stylesheet):
.tribe_mini_calendar_widget h1.heading { float: none; }Does that help?

MemberSo regarding the mini-calendar widget, do you mean the one that’s visible on the homepage? If so that looks to me like the WordPress calendar widget (as opposed to our own Events Calendar widget).
Is it possible there’s been a mix-up, or else can you point me to where you are using our widget?
Thanks!

MemberThat sounds like a known issue with some themes such as Canvas (also by WooThemes) and we’ve got a change in the works … until that arrives though you could certainly try adding this snippet to your theme’s functions.php file and see if it helps:

Note that, typically, you will not need and should not copy across the opening <?php tag (which will normally be present in your functions.php file already).
Thanks!

MemberGreat – sounds like you’re sorted and so I’ll close this thread. And, if have a moment, do consider making that feature request 🙂
Thanks (and thanks also to you @commongoodsa)!

MemberHi Gordon,
If you haven’t already read through our Themer’s Guide since the 3.0 update arrived please do so to get a sense of how template overrides now work.
Basically though this would be a matter of overriding single-event.php and locating – and removing – this line of code and this chunk of code.
Does that help?
Barry
MemberCan you break that second question into a new thread? It helps us to keep things organized and actually makes it faster for us to help you.
Glad you’re all sorted on the recurring dialog front 🙂

MemberHi webdesign309,
No that’s OK – in honesty I forgot that if the widget is set to display 0 events it would work in this fashion, so apologies on that front. After talking with the team though this is basically expected behaviour for this widget. We’d definitely be open to considering a change here, though, if you want to post a feature request:
In the short term though there’s not too much more we can offer beyond suggesting you dive in and customize it to behave in the fashion you want (regrettably, it’s beyond the level of support we can offer to guide you through that).
Sorry we can’t do more on this occasion.
Barry
MemberYes – that’s the easiest way to use it (arguably safer to do so from within a child theme, though).
Barry
MemberExcellent, happy to help 🙂
Barry
MemberIndeed it is. Does the code in this thread help at all?
