ParticipantThe mini calendar properly filters the events based on the selection in the widget screen. However, when you click on the day for the filtered events it shows all events and it is not filtered. What is the point of filtering the calendar if it is going to show all events when you click on a date? Is there something I missed? Please help. Thanks!!!

MemberHi webdesign309,
I believe someone else reported this quite recently but it’s not something I can replicate: if I filter down to category X and for example have two events on the 20th, one in that category and one not, only the matched event shows if I click on the 20th.
I did take a look at the URL you provided to try and see an example but couldn’t locate the widget – can you point me in the right direction?
Thanks!

http://peoriaparkdistrict.webdesign309.com/ in the lower left hand corner of the site you will see the mini calendar widget. On September 5th I have three Events listed. Two are under the events category and should show up. The third is under the classes category and should not show up. I have provided an overview of the edit screens for each of the three events below. Hopefully this is enough to help you solve my problem. Thanks!!!

MemberOK, so ordinarily that’s not how I’d expect our calendar widget to behave (you can see a typical example of the widget over here, for reference). Can I ask if you have customized it at all?

ParticipantAccording to my other developer the answer to that is no. I went ahead and deleted the customization’s that we had in our theme directory and it still is not working properly. Any thoughts? Do you need access to the website in order to be able to diagnose it further?

MemberHi webdesign309,
No that’s OK – in honesty I forgot that if the widget is set to display 0 events it would work in this fashion, so apologies on that front. After talking with the team though this is basically expected behaviour for this widget. We’d definitely be open to considering a change here, though, if you want to post a feature request:
In the short term though there’s not too much more we can offer beyond suggesting you dive in and customize it to behave in the fashion you want (regrettably, it’s beyond the level of support we can offer to guide you through that).
Sorry we can’t do more on this occasion.
