I’m going to close this thread as it hasn’t seen any follow-up activity for quite a while now. If we can help with anything else please feel free to create a new thread (or threads) – thanks!

It’s been over 2 weeks without activity so I’ll go ahead and close this out.

Oh I see – well we actually specify the height by passing a map of properties across to the slimScroll library, so this is set via Javascript rather than a stylesheet. If you can bear with me though I’ll get an answer as to how this change might be made (or even if it’s readily practical) from someone with more knowledge of this part of the system than I 🙂

    Thanks for your patience!

    Hi nickivasquez,

Though it may look like the same problem initially it could easily have a different root cause in your case. For that reason, please create a new thread of your own – you can then also share your site’s URL in confidence (when you open the thread) and also indicate what troubleshooting steps you have completed, if any.

    Thanks!

I’ve not doubt you could build something to do this, but we don’t have any pre-built tools to assist with this at this time. Please do feel free to post any specific requests on our UserVoice feature request page, though 🙂

    Thanks!

Sorry to hear you are hitting up against some difficulties here. That’s always frustrating but please note we cannot guarantee responding any more quickly than within 24hrs of a thread being posted (and that’s through the working week).

I do appreciate you taking the time to deactivate all other plugins and switch to a default, unmodified theme: can you confirm if that had any impact on this? Could you also try visiting the Settings → Permalinks admin screen – you don’t have to change anything, just visit it – and let me know if that resolves this issue?

Last but not least, if none of the above gets us any further forward please include a copy of your system information as provided at the bottom of the Events → Help admin screen.

    Thanks!

    Hi itpromotion,

You’d need some means of tracking them which might be a matter of capturing their user ID (using get_current_user_ID() or a similar function, if this is limited to authenticated users) and storing a record of this in the database somewhere. Then, of course, you’d need to retrieve that record of users and output it.

It’s not something that is facilitated out-of-the-box by The Events Calendar, though, so really you would either have to build something yourself or perhaps research and use a suitable existing plugin.

    Hope that helps!

Does changing the default template setting (in Events → Settings → Display) to Default Events Template or some other template work for you?

Hi Bill, you should be able to do this with a custom recurrence pattern something like this:
Screnshot showing recurring event user interface (UI)

Does that help / are you finding that doesn’t work?

    Hi kimrubenstein,

That’s strange. I see you noted having tried deactivating all other plugins and switching to a default, unmodified theme – can you confirm if that had any impact on this problem (and thanks for trying out those steps!)?

    Thanks!

Sorry to hear you are hitting up against problems, magmazing.

Can you confirm if the reverse situation is true – ie with all other plugins deactivated and only a default, unmodified theme running – that there is still a problem on the Appearance → Widgets admin screen?

I wonder if you are essentially facing an issue with lack of memory: in the first instance can you try increasing the memory limit by adding the following to your wp-config.php file:

    define( 'WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '96M' );

If that doesn’t work the next step is to see if there are any entries in the server error logs corresponding to these ‘crashes’ (seek help from your hosting provider if you are unsure how to access the logs).

(Just updating to make sure it shows up in the correct place on our side of the forum – you can ignore this post.)

    Hi philmacaulay,

In terms of reducing the height of the calendar, can you confirm that you mean month view itself, or are you referring to a different view/one of the widgets? Also, what is it you’re trying to achieve – do you want empty rows to collapse down more or something like that?

On the Map Page why are the upcoming events in the wrong order? They should lead with the EARLIEST event followed by later events:
    See: http://www.maritimelogisticsandenergy.com/events/map/

I’m not quite sure what the problem is here – we do try to stick to a policy of one issue per thread as it can get confusing quite quickly if we are fielding questions in a single thread on two or more unrelated issues. Could you re-post this question in a new thread and also describe what it is you are expecting to see (I’m not sure I see the problem – the earliest event in that view is June 9 and the latest June 13, they appear to be in the correct order to me)?

    Thanks!

    Hi prodesignwv,

Just to avoid frustration in the future please be aware that during the working week we typically try to answer within 24hrs of a thread being created – which I don’t think has elapsed just yet – though we can run over a little during busy periods.

If you are using a caching plugin that could certainly explain why things don’t change on the frontend – since the output will be cached and not necessarily refreshed after you have made changes – however I wouldn’t expect this to affect the widget settings themselves (within the admin environment, that is).

I see you marked down that you tried deactivating all other plugins and also switched to a default, unmodified theme – can you confirm what if any impact that had on this problem?

    Thanks!
