MemberOur pleasure, I wish we could do a little more but it sounds like you’ve got a functional solution/workaround there so hopefully that suffices.
One thing to note – you may already be aware of this, but just in case you aren’t – is that as with all plugins distributed on wordpress.org there is a community forum: the Woo team may or may not deliver hands-on support there, but it could be worth posing questions anyway as there is a large user base and others may know a few helpful tips and techniques that could be of interest.
Last but not least, if you have a moment to spare we’d love to hear your thoughts on The Events Calendar over on our plugin review page – any and all feedback is welcome π
At any rate, I wish you luck with the coupons and if we can help with anything else please don’t hesitate to create new threads as required.
Thanks again!
Barry
MemberI agree with you and I did ask there, they sent me back to you guys. I pointed out to them that is DOES seem like a coupon issue and not a ticket one and they have not responded.
Yeah unfortunately these things can happen, particularly when the question relates in some way to another plugin.
Often it can be worth confirming for yourself with a quick test or two that it happens with regular products – ie, it is completely unrelated to ticketing – and then approach the ecommerce team for support on that basis (as that effectively takes the ticketing solution out of the equation and focuses in on the underlying problem).
What youβre describing is exactly what I did, the problem is that a person could add 100 tickets to their cart and it would only count as a single coupon use.
But can you simply issue one coupon per sponsor with a constraint of three purchases and explain to each sponsor they’ll need to order their complementary seats in a single purchase, or else create three coupons per sponsor each with a contraint of one purchasable item?
Alternatively, you could always just ask them to email you/someone on your team and put the order through manually.
Are any of those viable?
Barry
MemberHmm, it may actually be better to ask the on the WooCommerce forums as this sounds less like a ticket-based problem (though that is of course the context which applies in your scenario) and is more a general problem with coupons/discounts that would occur if multiples of any product were added to the cart.
Have you found it isn’t possible to set up a coupon for ticket from each event and apply a usage restriction?

MemberHi Mario,
Great question!
We work really hard to ensure The Events Calendar (and, by extension, Events Calendar PRO and our other premium plugins) adhere to WordPress standards and requirements – and so they should work anywhere that WordPress itself can be used.
That said, the overwhelming majority of our users host their sites on a classic LAMP (Linux) stack so our experience and ability to support sites hosted on other platforms, including Azure, is understandably a little more limited.
You should be able to do this without any major difficulties, though, and what I’d recommend is giving The Events Calendar (our core plugin, which is freely available) a whirl – test things out with this plugin and then, if you find it runs smoothly but need more advanced functionality, you can purchase and install any of our premium plugins.
Does that help?

MemberHi jmhayward,
As I understand things Safari 5.x is no longer supported by Apple and is, at this point, a fairly old release.
I do appreciate that more recent versions may not be available for Windows and that Apple may effectively have discontinued support for that platform – but perhaps you could switch to a browser that continues to benefit from regular maintenance and support?
Unfortunately we can’t guarantee support for every browser and this is particularly so for browsers where even the vendor has ceased to maintain and support them.

MemberHi brightspark,
Our support for custom development tasks like this one is fairly limited but I’d be happy to take a quick peek and see if any issues jump out at me:
- Can you share your revised code (and let me know which file or files it lives in)?
- What is going wrong, exactly?
Thanks!

MemberHi littlemountainlion,
This is usually as easy as changing a setting π
Can you login to your dashboard and navigate to Events β Settings β General and ensure that the include events in main blog loop setting is disabled, then save the changes?
Does that help at all?

MemberHi nbuckland,
I’m sorry you’ve had such a rough experience while upgrading.
Is it possible that our core plugin – The Events Calendar – was deactivated when you tried to update Events Calendar PRO? If so, can you try updating The Events Calendar first of all, then ensure it is still active, before updating Events Calendar PRO?
Does that help at all?
Barry
MemberHi nbuckland,
I’m sorry to hear you are experiencing difficulties.
It sounds like you are trying to use WooCommerce Tickets with one or more recurring events – but I’m afraid that is not supported at this time. From our product page:
Right now,Β recurring events are not supported, and attempting to set up tickets on a recurrence pattern will not work. Weβre working on this for the next major release, since we realize itβs in high demand, and will update this page at that point.
With that in mind, would it be possible to restructure things so you are setting up tickets against regular events rather than recurring ones?

MemberBut, what Iβm seeing is that none of the events from the free version of the plugin are showing up now that the upgrade is in place (same site, same web host). So, this is my main issue right now.
I see – that is odd π
If you deactivate PRO are the events visible once more – and does this occur even with no other plugins but the free, core plugin (The Events Calendar) and Events Calendar PRO running?
Is it possible you have (inadvertently) applied a filter in the Filters & Columns meta box – which displays above the list of events in the admin environment – and does hitting the Clear button help at all?

MemberAwesome – glad that worked and thanks for referencing the WP Stack Exchange post – definitely could be useful for others out there π
Since it sounds like you’re all good I will go ahead and close this thread, but please don’t hesitate to create new threads if we can help with anything else.
Also, if you have a moment to spare, we’d love to hear your thoughts on The Events Calendar over on our plugin review page – thanks again!
