MemberHi Sally,
I’m sorry to hear you are experiencing difficulties.
The first thing I want to note is that though ideally we’ll be able to help and properly register the license, the plugin’s general functionality will not be impacted if you are unable to do this. The only real hitch, then, is that you will have to update manually rather than benefitting from automated updates.
To the problem at hand: I’m unsure why you are getting this error message but there are a few possibilities. One is that your theme, another plugin or some piece of customization work is getting in the way.
I’d like to eliminate those possibilities from our enquiries first of all, so can I ask you to run through our standard troubleshooting processes in the first instance?
Thanks!

MemberHi Diana,
If Events Calendar PRO is activated then you should find that the EventsΒ β Settings screen contains a number of new tabs (such as Additional Fields). You should also find that you can create recurring events.
If that is all present and correct then you needn’t worry – Events Calendar PRO is up and running!
I need my events to link to PayPal. Please help!
So that isn’t something that Events Calendar PRO is specifically designed to help with – you can certainly link to PayPal from the event description, though, or if you need something more comprehensive perhaps our ticketing solutions would help?

MemberHi Samuel,
It might be that you need to implement this as a customization – but can you tell me where you want this to happen? Within month view, for instance, there is already a sticky event option. Do you wish to apply this to some other view (which ones if so)?
Thanks!
Barry
MemberI’m sorry to hear that, xpeh2707.
For myself if I run a quick test with the latest EDD and EDD Tickets versions I don’t see a problem – pre-existing tickets and newly created tickets alike seem to work as expected.
Can you give me an example of one of the affected events?
- If you could share the URL of the event itself that would be great
- If you can also link to a screenshot of the ticket settings (as they appear if you edit them from within the event editor) that would be awesome, too
Thanks!
Barry
MemberHi James,
To manually add attendees (without having the customer themselves make a purchase) you would need to manually create a new order in WooCommerce and add the appropriate number of tickets to the order.
Does that work for you?

MemberHi joelgoodman,
Can you confirm if the problem only impacted recurring events – or were all events impacted?
Are there any other patterns that jump out at you?
Barry
MemberI’m sorry you are experiencing difficulties.
- Can you confirm that you ran through our standard troubleshooting steps? It looks like you indicated having done so – can you confirm if that led you to detecting any conflicts?
- Could you also provide a link to your events page? I did visit the URL you provided when you opened this topic, but was unable to locate the main events page itself
Thanks!

MemberHi admin9787f,
Related posts aren’t just based on categories – they scan for events sharing the same tag(s), too, which seems to be what’s happening here – each related event I saw when I visited the URL you provided shared the “2015” tag.
Does that help/clarify things at all?

MemberHi there Alex,
You’re quite correct – The Events Calendar Housekeeper was indeed removed from the plugin directory.
This was done at my request (I was the author – though it wasn’t actually an official Modern Tribe plugin) as I simply didn’t have time to update it and, alas, with recent changes to how recurrence works “under the hood” it would not be safe to use as-is without an extensive rewrite.
Right now then I am afraid there is not an official solution to this problem, but we’d certainly welcome a feature request for this sort of capability over on our UserVoice channel:
You may even find a similar request there already – which you can up-vote to add your support π
Barry
MemberPossibly.
I’m curious: what is the default currency symbol in your Events Settings screen? Can you also try adding this snippet to your theme’s functions.php file, resave the event(s) in question and see if that helps?
add_action( 'save_post_tribe_events', 'force_cost_update' ); function force_cost_update( $event_id ) { TribeEventsAPI::update_event_cost( $event_id ); }Barry
MemberHi prydonian,
Sorry you’re hitting difficulties – please bear with me while I dig into this a little.
Thanks for your patience!

MemberHi Kandace,
Sorry to hear you’re hitting difficulties.
That is unusual behaviour and the fact you don’t experience the same on other sites suggests there is something about this WordPress installation that is triggering the behaviour.
Have you been able to run through our standard troubleshooting steps or can you identify any plugins that are installed on the site in question but are not used on your other sites?
Let me know how you get on!

MemberSure, we’ll be here π
Barry
MemberI’ll try and do that π
(If it is inadvertently closed after a period of inactivity, though, please just create a new topic and link to this one to provide some context – thanks!)
