Member… We’ll also look at adding a new filter to make customizing this a little easier in the future.

MemberI don’t think changing the POT file alone will help here unless you are also have the correct .mo file for your language and region (for English speaking Americans, this does not ship with Community Events since the plugin is already in that language – so to handle things this way you would need to create this).
Unfortunately, it’s well outside the scope of support here on the forum to guide you through what’s involved in making translations but there are some excellent resources out there (and on the WordPress codex) that you could look at.
Alternatively, you could make the following change to your event-form.php template http://pastebin.com/KeH7YEhz

MemberI’m not sure what sort of license you have – but is it possible you have used your key on different sites/domains and have therefore exceeded the terms of the license?
If you aren’t sure or need further help in this regard I’d encourage you to email Rob for assistance, there’s not a lot I can do to help with licensing issues like this.
Rob’s email address is [email protected].

MemberI’d recommend everything – not because I think it’s likely something will go wrong, but just because if there was a problem it’s better to be safe and have a copy of your database and all the files than be sorry and have a non-functional site and no way of restoring it.
I’m definitely not trying to scare you or deter you from updating, though!
Before you do anything though – and this also applies to anyone else who might be experiencing problems with this – can you double check that your license key has A) been entered and B) is correct? If not, there’s a possibility that that is the real problem.

MemberHi Seth,
Unfortunately there have been a few reports detailing the same problem. Are you in a position to download a fresh copy of Events Calendar PRO (2.0.9) and upload it to your web hosting account by FTP?
If you can and if that resolves the problem I’d love to hear back from you. As a precaution, please do take the time to back-up first!
Barry
MemberHi Jamin – this is possible but would require you to make some changes to your single.php template … so if you haven’t done so already please read and familiarize yourself with our Themer’s Guide.
I’ve summarized the change you would need to make here http://pastebin.com/HaUfW7DG – hope that helps.

MemberOK … so there is currently no easy way to do this however we’re going to take this on a feature request and a new action or filter will be added to a future version of Community Events that will make this a lot easier to handle.
Thanks for contacting us – and I’m sorry I can’t offer you an immediate solution on this occasion.
Barry
MemberHi Nicole – I’m just looking into this and will update you shortly … sorry for the delay!
Barry
MemberCool, well thanks for getting back to us and as you said just create a new post if needs be in the future 🙂
Barry
MemberOK so what we’re going to do is close this post – if at some point in the future you feel you want this functionality please don’t hesitate to create a new thread, for the time being however we’ll consider the issue closed.
Thanks for contacting us and good luck with your project 🙂

MemberGood news, that worked like a charm!
Well that’s good. Actually I was a bit slow off the mark, I’m so used to testing with default themes that it didn’t initially occur to me that the problem could be a lack of thumbnail support in your theme, so my apologies on that count.
I have no idea why the second one appears.
Nor do I, at this point anyway! I’m sure we can figure it out though. Can you provide a URL that will let me observe this first hand?
Barry
MemberOK, well often there is a file manager built into your web hosting control panel – so you could use that, or you could use a piece of software called an FTP client.
If you aren’t sure what either of those are, or are unsure how they work, then I’d be happy to take a look on your behalf. The only possible problem with that is it is sounding like everything was set up on your behalf by a web designer/developer – if so, perhaps he or she customized things to meet your/your business’s precise requirements.
For that reason I would be reluctant to make any sweeping changes that might destroy said customizations.
If you do want me to try and fix this, bearing in mind that there is a risk this might negate any custom work you’ve had done, please feel free to email me at [email protected] – making sure to mark your email for my attention.
Barry
MemberWell, actually you may well be able to add featured image support by including the following line in your theme’s functions.php file:
add_theme_support('post-thumbnails');Does that fix this for you?
Barry
MemberThat’s strange. Can you confirm that you are using the latest version of The Events Calendar (2.0.9)?
If so and if WordPress is up to date (of course it looks like it is, judging by the screengrab) then I can only imagine there is some kind of conflict with another plugin or even your theme – so the standard steps of deactivating all other plugins and switching to a default theme such as Twenty Eleven are worth following.
Hopefully by doing this you will find that Featured Image functionality is restored. If so, reactivate all other plugins (and your theme) one-by-one until you pinpoint where the conflict is.
Barry
MemberWell, judging by the error you reported if you can navigate to the “html” directory you should find that this contains a directory called “wp-content”.
Within wp-content you will find both the “plugins” directory (which contains “the-events-calendar”) and the “themes” directory (which will contain your active theme – “nsbc”).
I’ve tried to map it out here http://pastebin.com/nffi0PCW … Does that help at all, or is it still clear as mud?
