If you want I can send an email with the FTP details.
xrossglobalgroupParticipantThank you Brian! Much appreciated, my developer will have a look at it. Just another question, it seems that removing the date and/or location from the widget will also remove the same details from the main event calendar. Is there a way to define per widget what is shown? On this home page: http://edgar.frl-website.nl/ I namely want to have only the most essential information. The day + date are already in the calendar icon, so it is not necessary to repeat it again in text format. However, if removed, it should mean it is also removed from the main event calendar… Any advise is much appreicated.
xrossglobalgroupParticipantI’m not very technical myself, so I’m not sure that I understand the above correctly. On my overall events calendar page (with all events) I need visitors to be able to select and de-select event categories (e.g. arts & culture, food & drinks, day trips, etc). I namely organise way too many events and so I want to help my members to view only those they are interested in. Somewhere in the right column or above the main column there should be selection boxes. Is this already possible in TECpro? Or is this indeed a difficult custom job?
xrossglobalgroupParticipantHey Brook. It works with other events, but not with that particular one. I didn’t change any settings and it also imports all other information nicely. It just doesn’t show on the front page. Edgar
xrossglobalgroupParticipantThank you Leah. I will see if this is possible through customization. It would be great as it would close a very important loop for online communities (think social networks, clubs, associations etc). With the NING upgrade of 2.0 to 3.0 they got rid off events. While promising it would be re-introduced by summer 2013, they still have no idea when events is back in their product. That’s why I got a WP site with Events Calendar. BuddyPress is soon integrated on my site as well, but only when both BP and EC work together it becomes very powerful. Please consider this!
xrossglobalgroupParticipantThanks Casey. I will try to make this work. It would make such a huge difference for me if this goes well 🙂 Thanks!!
March 10, 2014 at 1:28 pm in reply to: Product page missing with Wootickets, problem with other plugin #116922xrossglobalgroupParticipantI will talk to my technical friend about this. Just one question. If we stop WC Tickets from hijacking the product URL, would inserting the snippet mean that the ticket box on the event page would dissappear? Or would it still be possible to have visitors select the tickets there and then continue to the product page where the add-ons can be selected and where the normal tickets are already indicated (so if you choose 1 ticket on the event page, then there will already be 1 ticket selected on the product page).
Thanks for your help.
March 10, 2014 at 8:17 am in reply to: Events Calendar Pro + Filter Bar + WooTickets + Gravity forms #116814xrossglobalgroupParticipantI think I just posted a similar question. I really need to capture additional information from the participants for each specific event. For instance, as we travel by train and bus during daytrips, I would need to know where they will board. Or I need to ask participants whether they would like to join for lunch or dinner, or would like to take a guided tour. These are all options that are on top of the actual ticket. I used to work fine with the WC Add-ons plugin, as these extra questions (wiht or with additional fees as answer options) would just be put right on the product page. But with WCtickes there is basically no product page anymore as it is fully integrated in the event pages themselves.
I’m a bit in the dark on what to do now… Is there anyway to go from the event page not to the checkout but to a product page? (so one extra step in between).
Any help is much appreciated.
xrossglobalgroupParticipantI must have had a really weak moment there… I think I was confused that it was already there, and I thought I had somehow deleted it. Learned something again 🙂 Thanks
xrossglobalgroupParticipantHey Barry, Thanks for your response. It is good to hear that it does not require too much work (i can’t do it myself for sure). However, I really think that a nice sleek look for the list would be a great if not essential addition to the Events Calendar. It just makes it much more clear what kind of events are being organized, incl. date, time, location, price, tickets left, RSVPs etc. Maybe something to think about? In the mean time I will try to solve the problem anyhow 🙂
xrossglobalgroupParticipantI found the problem. It’s resolved now. Will post another question though.
