xrossglobalgroupParticipantThanks Geoff. I see your point about overloading the server. However, with certain user profiles that really shouldn’t be an issue. Since the people I want to give access are always the same, uploading always the same events (e.g. coffee morning, socialiser, movie night) it also always requires the same text and pictures. Possibly I can prepare the standard text for them, including the links to the media files, and ask them to upload that for a new event submission.
Thanks for your help. I am looking forward to working with the plugin more in the future!
January 23, 2015 at 3:50 pm in reply to: Price range filter bar: events without tickets not shown #936928xrossglobalgroupParticipantHey Geoff, Thanks again for your help. Unfortunately it still doesn’t work. Please check the calendar yourself at http://www.expatclub.org/events. When I set it to 0, no events are shown. I feel there is something wrong with the filter bar, at least for the price part (the levers are also acting strange, shifting over one another and going to minus even).
You see Carpe Noctem. This one has no ticket attached to it, except for the Eventbrite ticketing box, but in TEC / Woo there are no tickets/products. When I fully open it from 0 to 109 you see all events. When I close it (both 0), nothing appears whereas I have several options:
* Carpe Noctem has no tickets attached
* Coffee event on 2/2 has a 0 cost ticket (0 was entered in price field)
* Lunch @ O Liban on 25/1 has also a 0 cost ticket (0 was NOT entered in price field)So nohting shows up when I select both on 0, and even when I select the higher price lever to 20 or 50, nothing shows up. Only when I take the full range, then the free tickets show up.
In the backend (Events –> Settings –> Filter) I have selected the 3 available filters. Under Title I have “Cost (€)”. Under type I have range slider. And under “events are considered free when cost field is” –> “Empty or set to zero”
Did I miss a setting, or is it indeed not working as described above?
January 23, 2015 at 10:20 am in reply to: Price range filter bar: events without tickets not shown #936806xrossglobalgroupParticipantHey Geoff. Super nice you got back to me on this because I still need some help. I am namely not sure you understood my question. Whenever I add event that has NO ticket at all, which is in my group by definition a free event (or at least I won’t charge anything), then those events do not show up when the filter is set at 0. Only those events with a ticket added in the backend that is set at 0 or without a price, show up when the filter is set at zero.
I don’t want people to have to go through the registration process and fill out all the details. For instance, if there is a public event such as a free concert or a festival, I may just want people to know where we’ll meet. Whoever wants to show up, shows up. For my events with a free ticket, it means I either want to know who is coming or I want to set a limit of tickets available.
Does this make sense? So my concrete question is whether the filter can also show all events that have no ticket attached to them?
Thanks for your help!
xrossglobalgroupParticipantHi Geoff,
Thanks for your quick answer. Unfortunately it doesn’t help me. The event image is clear, and that is something that everyone with the right credentials can do him/herself. An image in the text itself through the text editor is not possible. To do so they namely need to have access to my WP Media database to search for the desired image. I don’t want people to look in htere, and it would also go beyond the whole idea of this particular plugin. What is needed is an image upload functionality, which may actually add an image to the media library.
I fear the only way now is that people post an event, but I still have to add manually certain pics to the event information text, which also goes against the whole idea of this plugin 🙁
I know I can add this as a suggested feature, but it takes so long before that is implemented 🙁 Do you think an expeirenced devleoper could make something like this quickly?

xrossglobalgroupParticipanttest = text (the description of the event).

xrossglobalgroupParticipantThat’s correct George. The page to which is hyperlinked does not add anything. So the link in both the events list and on the individual event pages (in this case the venue Audi Brussels) should disappear. The name looks nice in blue, but I’m not sure it’s possible to keep the color, but have no link.
xrossglobalgroupParticipantHere is the general event page: https://expatclub.org/events/
And here is an individual event page: https://expatclub.org/event/brussels-airport-tour/You see the link?
xrossglobalgroupParticipantThanks George. Hopefully we can get this calendar to look the way it looks on the UNC website.
You can close this discussion now.

xrossglobalgroupParticipantHi Brook,
The site is not yet online. I wouldn’t mind giving you access, but I won’t post the details here on this forum.
The developer has to put in another step between the event and cart pages (the actual product page, where people can select the number of tickets). The problem is that with the current set up, it is not possible to make use of the Woothemes Add-On Plugin (http://www.woothemes.com/products/product-add-ons/). This plugin allows me to ask questions that people need to answer. For instance, will you join for lunch? What museum would you like to visit? Where would you like to join the bus? I need those answers for a correct registration of the purchase. These questions cannot be inserted in the event page, and if it were possible, it doesn’t like nice at all.
Either way, the book now button (or the one that is standard) loops back to the same page and does not forward the visitor to the product page.
I am looking forward to hearing from you where the problem might be…
