ParticipantI’m setting my site and run into a problem regarding Wootickets.
On the frontend when I now push the button Book Now (for an event with a ticket linked to it), the site links back to the event page (so the same page of the button). It doesn’t link to the shop page with the ticket info.
What could be the problem and how to solve it?
Thanks for your help.

ParticipantHello,
It sounds like the Book now button is not part of The Events Calendar, and that’s probably why it’s not behaving as you expect. This is an example of a WooCom purchase page: http://wpshindig.com/event/the-events-calendar-wootickets-wordpress-demo/ As you can see there is no Book Now button. Only the Add to Cart at the bottom.
You would have to refer to whatever plugin, or perhaps theme, has added that button in order to determine how to modify or fix it.
Does that make sense? Or did I perhaps misunderstand you? If so, maybe if I could see your site it will help clarify. Thanks for posting!

ParticipantHi Brook,
The site is not yet online. I wouldn’t mind giving you access, but I won’t post the details here on this forum.
The developer has to put in another step between the event and cart pages (the actual product page, where people can select the number of tickets). The problem is that with the current set up, it is not possible to make use of the Woothemes Add-On Plugin (http://www.woothemes.com/products/product-add-ons/). This plugin allows me to ask questions that people need to answer. For instance, will you join for lunch? What museum would you like to visit? Where would you like to join the bus? I need those answers for a correct registration of the purchase. These questions cannot be inserted in the event page, and if it were possible, it doesn’t like nice at all.
Either way, the book now button (or the one that is standard) loops back to the same page and does not forward the visitor to the product page.
I am looking forward to hearing from you where the problem might be…

ParticipantThank you for the extra info.
It sounds like we have narrowed down the problem, the addon plugin is just not compatible with WooCommerce Tickets. It might be possible to make the compatible though. Integrations are usually quite possible but they can be rather involved for the site developer. In this case there might be a quick solution though. I wonder if the forwarding mechanism of woo’s product ticket page is conflicting with that plugin. Perhaps disabling it by pasting this snippet in your functions.php file will do the trick? If so you won’t need a dev to integrate them!
Did that work? Please let me know if you have questions. Cheers!
