I organise events that are often accessible for children, such as daytrips. In TEC I add in the Wootickets parts regular tickets (for adults), but now I’m looking for the best way to add children’s ticket. In case there are discounts on a ticket (with the normal Woocommerce discount coupons) these should only apply to the regular tickets, not to the adult tickets.

I know there is an option to add a separate children ticket as a product in WooCommerce, but that requires me to connect it to that particular event. This is a lot of work, but it especially is not a great solution as that paritcular ticket is not easy to spot in the checkout process.

Thanks for your help in advance!

    Hey Edgar,

Thanks for reaching out to us!

When creating tickets for events, you can create multiple tickets to accommodate tickets for both adults and children. You can create as many of these tickets directly within the event using the “Add New Ticket” button within the Tickets section within the even edit screen.

If you’re looking to add coupons that apply just to the children tickets, there is a quick work around that you could pursue. When you create a ticket within an event, a product is created within WooCommerce. Once created, you can go in and edit those products. To allow only children tickets to have a specific coupon, I would edit child tickets and assign them to a specific “child ticket” category within WooCommerce. Then, when creating your coupon, you can limit the use to just products within that category.

Let me know if this helps.

    Thanks!

    Hey!

Thanks for following up with us!

I’m not positive I’m following all of the concerns from your message. However, based on the additional information needed per ticket and how these questions affect price, I know our plugin won’t supply those features out of the box and will need to be completely relied upon within WooCommerce.

A solution for what you’re looking for could be accomplished but it would require customization in multiple areas that far exceed what we’re able to provide here within the forums.

I’m sorry I was able to give you a direct response. I think your current solution may be the best option without additional customization.

Let me know if this helps.

    Thanks!
