Connect Event Calendar Pro with Buddypress

Hello,
I manage a community and would love to connect the TECpro with Buddypress. The objective is to show to the members who is coming to events. now it’s like a black box, people don’t know who is coming or whether anyone is coming. I am sure this is not a standard plugin, but if you have any ideas on a company who has experience with this, let me know. It is, in my opinion, an essential missing link that our Tri.be friends (wooohooo, ONE million, you guys rock!) should work on. Events normally only become popular if people can actually see who is coming. Any advice is more than welcome!

Hi Edgar,

I just replied to your other post, and I apologize that my response here is so similar. Right now, we don’t have a built-in way to show who is coming on the page itself, or to directly integrate with BuddyPress. As I mentioned in the other post, it might be possible with some customization. Smooth integration with BuddyPress is another feature that we are hoping to add in the future and that we have listed on UserVoice for votes.

Thank you Leah. I will see if this is possible through customization. It would be great as it would close a very important loop for online communities (think social networks, clubs, associations etc). With the NING upgrade of 2.0 to 3.0 they got rid off events. While promising it would be re-introduced by summer 2013, they still have no idea when events is back in their product. That’s why I got a WP site with Events Calendar. BuddyPress is soon integrated on my site as well, but only when both BP and EC work together it becomes very powerful. Please consider this!
