    Hi Cliff,

I did what you said – de-activated all the plugins except the EC ones, and then I changed the theme. When I changed the theme, the cats teacher-training and music worked.
Then I changed back to my theme (headway) and they didn’t work again.

So, not sure what I can do to actually fix this. I am not sure how to do the debug mode.

    Thanks,

    Michelle

I am trying to add a header to my EC but it’s not working. I am writing this post the second time – first time I pressed submit and it dissapeared.

I have added my chosen header to the default page template (the one I am using) but it is not showing up.

    What’s going wrong here?

    Hi Again Geoff,

OK I have solved the problem. I had customised the Blog Index template in Headway – and for some reason, the Venue pages were inheriting the Blog Index template. So I created a customised template for the Venue pages and it is working perfectly now. This will probably be relevant for anyone working with the Headway theme.

    Thanks!

    Hi Geoff,

OK thanks – So I activated the Update, and initially it looked like this problem was fixed, but it’s not. If I select from the Event Calendar Settings – ‘Full Styles’ and ‘Default Event Template’ then the Venue pages show correctly, but if I select ‘Full Styles’ and Default Page Template’ it saves (which it didn’t before the update) then I the page doesn’t display – instead I get a few lines of text as per my attached image.

Would really love to know what to do here. I did notice that this problem started happening when I made changes to one of my templates (I use the Headway theme) recently – but the template I made changes to was the Blog Post (-Blog homepage) and not the Event Calendar page template which is also customised in Headway. Do I perhaps need to delete the Event Calendar + EV Pro plugins and upload them again?

    Thanks,

    Michelle

Hi, I also need to work out a way to limit the number of events that my Community users can post. But for me I need to limit it to x number of events per month / per calendar year. Is there any way I can do this with some kind of hook ?

    Thanks,

    Michelle

    Hi Brian,
Considering there is 144 votes for this functionality update – I am surprised it is not on your development list. This must be one of the most demanded functionality adds of them all. Is there any reason why given this situation this update is not on the list?
    Thanks,

    Hi Barry,
Sorry I should have said Header – the text directly above the event calendar grid which says ‘Calendar of Events’ no matter what month etc. I would like this to be the same as the title – ie : Events for (current month), (current year)’
    Thanks,
    Michelle

    Hi Casey,
It seems the email notifications have come back. Must have been upgrading to the latest version I imagine.
    Thanks,

    Hi Casey,
Thanks for quick reply! Yes I have tried several different emails (gmail etc.) but to no avail. I have also checked that it isn’t a WP problem as I am receiving the WP emails. So that narrows it down to the Calendar.
It was working fine until a few months ago when I just stopped receiving the emails.
    Thanks,
    Michelle

Hi Barry – I deactivated every plugin and re-activated each one by one and discovered that is was Modern Tribe’s Advanced Post Manager plugin that was causing the problem. Once I deactivated that I could see the events again.
    Thanks – Michelle

It is not allowing me to paste the system info here – so will just say I have latest version of WP and latest version of Event Calendat + Pro + Community Events installed.

I tried changing to a fresh theme and no difference with the Events not appearing in admin problem.

    Thanks,
    Michelle

Hi Barry, Yes I have tried changing themes to fresh unmodified theme (twentytwelve) and same problem.

Hi Chris – yes I actually just put a 301 redirect in my cpanel – I forgot that I did it this way before – turned out to be the easiest.
    Thanks for checking!
