Thank you. That’s odd, my pro plugin was deactivated. I reactivated and the ability to add recurring is back. Not sure why it deactivated, but I think my issue is resolved.

I actually just received a screen shot from a user that has not been able to login in consistently. Here is a shot of the error she’s getting. Any idea what’s causing this?

They did not provide any specifics they just said they had received an error and couldn’t log in. Like I said, I haven’t been tracking closely so I will start doing that going forward. In the meantime, I will read the documentation on optimization. Thank you!

    Hi,

I was having email issues and not receiving them. I got that sorted out within the last day and now I’m getting emails on events so I believe that is resolved unless you’re seeing something else on your end?

The issue of people having trouble logging in still seems to be looming. Any ideas what’s going on there?

Also, the calendar is pretty slow loading. Suggestions to improve speed?

    Hi,

I think I’ve determined that my issue is with my theme and the advertising plugin. When I reverted to twenty sixteen it solved the issue. I will take it up with my theme developer and the advertising plugin developer.

    Hi,

I’m sorry but I looked through all the documentation you shared and these all seem to be settings that modify the look of the calendar as well as how it functions. I don’t see anything that would allow me to copy and paste events for the month in to an email or anything like that. Can you point me in a more specific direction?

I actually resolved the issue. Thanks.

Thanks Courtney. My developer used a short code to plug my calendar in to the page I wanted it to be on. After adding the filter bar, I don’t think the shortcode updated because the filter wasn’t visible. I used the URL for the calendar and then the filter showed up. Any idea why the shortcode wouldn’t have updated?

Is there a way to do it without buying the add-on? I’ve already bought Pro and the Community Calendar. I’d like to do this for free through shortcode or something.

    Hi George,

I’m making one last ditch effort to use the community calendar by enabling the setting you mentioned above that requires people to login before posting an event. That said, I just did it and tried to test it. It gives you the option to login, but it doesn’t give you an option to create an account. How do users sign up initially?

    A screen shot is attached.

    Hi George,

Thanks for the information. Yes, everyone that can not use the community event feature are people from the general public that are coming to my site to add events. None have admin rights or anything like that. I don’t think they are registering as users either. I don’t think the form requires them too. Could that be causing the problem? Here’s a link to the form again so you can see what is required of someone submitting an event:

I can add events through the community events page when I am both logged in AND logged out so I can’t say if say if once you log in the problems stop. Should I change a setting or something that requires them to sign up as a user and try that?

The people that are having the issue are users of my community, basically the general public. They aren’t members of my team that I could go to and say “hey help me troubleshoot this” so working with someone that is able to recreate the issue is not viable option.

So what I am hearing you say is there is really no other advice or support you can offer me at this point, is that correct?

If so, please advise as to what your refund policy is.

***UPDATE*** I’ve had 3 users just this morning report the same error and I am still unable to recreate it.

    Hi George,

Ok I’m at the point where I need to go through the testing but how am I supposed to determine what is causing the problem when I can’t recreate the issue myself? Myself and another person from a different location have both been able to submit events without issue so I’m not sure how to test if I can’t recreate the issue.

Also, is there anyone on your team I could contract with to do this testing? I don’t have time and I’m not sure the developer I usually work with does either.

    Please advise.
