    Hi guitoledo,

We might be able to help you do that, but would you mind posting in the PRO forum? This forum is only for translation-related issues.

    Hi Oliver,

Thanks for the info on #2. I’ve ticketed those strings to be fixed in an upcoming update.

For that other string- I see what you mean about it having two text domains, which is weird. Can you show me where that string is on the site? I couldn’t find it in that link you sent me, although I do see it in the .php files.

    Hi Rafael,

We are always interested in updated translations. Please note that another user is also looking to work on the pt_BR translations. Please check out this thread and maybe post there so that you don’t both do the same thing šŸ™‚

Several of our other plugins have outdated Brazilian Portuguese translations if you are interested in working on those.

Awesome! Thanks as always for these. I’ve got them added to the plugin for the next release.

    Cheers,

    Hi charrame,

I think the problem here is that you are using WPML. Unfortunately, our plugin is not fully compatible with WPML. We are planning to work on this in the future, but at this time we can’t help with the issues that come up when you’re combining the two. I’m sorry I can’t be of more help.

We also have a UserVoice thread for this feature so you can vote to have us add it in a future build. Adding your vote there will also allow you to stay updated as we work on it.

    Hi Guile,

In order to see all the new and changed strings in the file, you need to update it with the latest .pot file as outlined in step #6 of the Getting Started post. I’ve gone ahead and done that for you so that you can see all the strings that need help. You can download the updated .po files for The Events Calendar and Events Calendar PRO.

If you update those files and add the TEC ones to your plugin’s /lang folder, that should fix your translation issues. And if you upload both sets of updated files here, I’d be happy to give you a free license for Events Calendar PRO.

    Hi Oliver,

It turns out that we have a variable being passed through a translation function, and that is what’s causing the ‘Use Saved’ to not translate. I’ve ticketed this to be fixed in an upcoming release. Thanks for catching it!

    Hi Anna,

Thanks for getting in touch. We actually just had an Icelandic translation submitted for The Events Calendar and Events Calendar PRO. You can download it here. Put those files in your /lang folder for The Events Calendar and you will see the plugin strings translated.

I’d love to have you help keep this translation up to date in the future. You can also translate one of our other plugins if you’d like. Thank you!

    Hi guitoledo,

Thanks for posting. The reason you are seeing so many words in English is because the translation is Ā outdated. All of our plugins are translated by volunteers, and no one has worked on the Brazilian Portuguese one in a while. Would you be interested in updating the translation? Your English is very good. It would fix your site and we’d give you a free license in exchange.

If you are interested, check out theĀ Getting StartedĀ post where you’ll find the instructions and files you need. Make sure to follow step #6 on that post for the latest files.

If you are not able to translate it, you’ll unfortunately need to wait for someone else to update the files.

    Hi dgpixel,

Thank you for finding that! It is a mistake in the translation and you can fix it. In your WordPress files, find wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/lang/tribe-events-calendar_it_IT.po. You’ll need a translation program like PoEdit to open it.

Open the file and find line 831:Ā « All Events. You’ll see something like this. In the translation box where it saysĀ quo; Tutti gli eventi:Ā change it to « Tutti gli eventi:Ā (like this). Once you save that file, you should see the correct translation on your web site.

    Hi Oliver,

    Thanks for bringing these up.

I’m a little bit stumped about the ‘Use SavedĀ Veranstaltungsort” string as I can’t find where it is in our files. It’s late now, but I’m going to check in with one of the developers tomorrow and see if she can help.

The second issue is a good catch, and something we have ticketed to be fixed. We’ll do our best to keep you posted as we work on it!

    Hiya Oliver,

I’m here to take a look at #2 and #3 that you mentioned šŸ™‚

#2 – As far as I can see, the stuff in English are new strings that we just added in 3.8. Those will need to be translated with the latest .pot file. Since the release notes are always new for a version those will always be in English I’m afraid. Are you seeing other parts that are in the 3.7 .pot file but are not translated here? If you can be specific about those I can see able getting them fixed.

    3. Thanks for bringing this up. Translating that part of the admin (it’s known as the APM) is difficult because parts of it load before the translations do. It also historically had a different text domain. It looks like there in once again an issue with the text domain here. I have ticketed this issue so we can look into it further. Thanks for bringing it to our attention!

    Best,
    Leah
