ParticipantHello, I’ve been using the Events plugin and everything went ok during the customization, but some words are not translating to Portuguese (Brazil) at all. I’ve already looked at the PO file and everything is ok. Also used the Loco Translate trying to fix the problem, but without success.
Are not all the words, but some like: Day, Next Events, Previous Events, Recurrence, and others.
If you navigate through the “Next Events” link, for example, it update correctly on the top bar, but not on the page:
http://www.aresperfumes.com.br/eventosThere is something else I can do to fix it?
Thanks,
Guile.October 2, 2014 at 6:05 pm #783957Leah
MemberHi guitoledo,
Thanks for posting. The reason you are seeing so many words in English is because the translation is outdated. All of our plugins are translated by volunteers, and no one has worked on the Brazilian Portuguese one in a while. Would you be interested in updating the translation? Your English is very good. It would fix your site and we’d give you a free license in exchange.
If you are interested, check out the Getting Started post where you’ll find the instructions and files you need. Make sure to follow step #6 on that post for the latest files.
If you are not able to translate it, you’ll unfortunately need to wait for someone else to update the files.
Best,
Leah

ParticipantHey Leah,
Thanks for your reply and for the opportunity.
But I’ve just downloaded the PoEdit and checked the PO file that you suggested to edit, and everything is ok! The language is correctly translated.
So now I’m assuming that the problem may be with the plugin or the theme I’m using.
Could it be a compatibility issue? Would be of any help if I give you access to my core files or post here any code that could be wrong so you could give me some directions of what to do?
Thanks,

MemberHi Guile,
In order to see all the new and changed strings in the file, you need to update it with the latest .pot file as outlined in step #6 of the Getting Started post. I’ve gone ahead and done that for you so that you can see all the strings that need help. You can download the updated .po files for The Events Calendar and Events Calendar PRO.
If you update those files and add the TEC ones to your plugin’s /lang folder, that should fix your translation issues. And if you upload both sets of updated files here, I’d be happy to give you a free license for Events Calendar PRO.
Best,
Leah

ParticipantHi,
I did not had time to check this out yet, but will soon! Thanks for the help.
I have another question and I don’t know if I have to open another discussion, so tell me if so. Anyway here it goes:
Is there a way to don’t show past events? I’m running into List mode, and would like to be possible only to see current and next events. To disable the Previous events.
Thanks,

MemberHi guitoledo,
We might be able to help you do that, but would you mind posting in the PRO forum? This forum is only for translation-related issues.
Best,
Leah
